The wooden body has a nice weight to it and the grip feels natural, which makes a difference when you're working on detailed projects. The build quality is definitely there - everything feels well made rather than flimsy. The real strength is the variety of nibs included. You get five different styles with two of each, so there's plenty to experiment with. Each nib produces noticeably different line weights and effects, which gives you good flexibility for different techniques. Whether you're doing fine detail work or broader strokes, there's a nib that works well for it. I've used these for various ink-based projects and they consistently deliver good results. The nibs hold ink well and release it smoothly without scratching or skipping. They work great for calligraphy practice, comic illustration, and general sketching. The line quality is clean and you can achieve both precise details and flowing artistic effects depending on your technique and nib choice. For anyone getting into traditional ink work or wanting to expand their drawing tools, this set covers a lot of ground and performs reliably. Review: Good pen, great value. - I used to pay nearly £1 each for the nibs alone for a dip pen so this is good value for money. Don' believe a single photo in the listing as to how the lines look from the pen as they are not realistic by any stretch of the imagination. The lines you can draw are from very fine on the No1 to almost a felt pen thickness (1mm or2mm) for the No 5 nib. If you haven't used them before get some black Indian ink and a piece of kitchen paper before you start. It's like drawing with a fountain pen but you can't push the nib you need to pull to get a line from it. Varying the pressure releases more ink for a fatter/fuller line. If you are using Indian ink remember that it is shellac based and you need to clean the nibs completely after use of it'll dry like enamel paint on the nib and render it useless. I love drawing with these nibs and they are far better than a gel fine liner pen or Rapidograph style pen in my opinion. Works best on smooth surfaced paper, Bristol board or similar glossy surfaces where you don't get a lot of bleed.
