This dice tray has a lot of functions that can make game nights fun, but in my opinion doesn't do particularly well at any one of them. Pros: + The materials and overall fit/finish is pretty nice + Came with markers and erasers, which I thought was a nice touch + When the light is turned on, it can really make whatever is written on the board pop (which is fun, and after all that's what game night is all about). + The dice tray surface has a nice finish on it softens the sound of dice clattering around. Cons: Honestly, I'm not sure how to rate this product because it has a lot of nice things going for it, but I have some problems... - As just a dice tray, I think it works well for that purpose. However, the walls are a little low and I have had an errant dice or two pop up out of the tray. Also, if you're only using this as a dice tray, there are much better options for the price. This just isn't a good value as a dice tray. - The clear board/light up function is cool, but writing on the board while it is resting in the slot can be a little uncomfortable. The alternative is to keep taking it out of the slot, and putting it back. At that point I'd rather just use pen and paper. I thought it would be good to mention, we like to make our game nights a phone free night. So we've actually written "Place phones here", and used the tray as a sort of phone valet. Still, for the price there are other solutions out there if you'd like to do something like this.

Ordered this for family game nights because the LED lighting looked like a cool feature. The tray itself is sturdy and keeps dice from rolling off the table. The LED lighting adds a fun atmosphere and is easy to change with the touch controls. The included markers work well for tracking scores or notes. Overall this is a great accessory for RPG or board game sessions.

So great concept. Tried it the night after it arrived. We do a weekly family rpg over discord and the current GM comes to our house so we had him use it. When the session was over everyone here tried it and then we all compared notes. The consensus is/was awesome...almost. The light up screen is a nice touch, my daughter in law loved how the led color could be changed to effect the color of the notes/letters/drawings on the board. the rectangular rolling section was a universal plus as well as the padding inside. The misses were pretty significant though. In the picture I tried to show reaching BEHIND the screen to grab dice and how awkward it is. During play we would just leave them in the rolling area or on the table next to it since the rolling area wasn't really big enough to allow good rolls without hitting the other dice. This seems like an easy fix by just putting the screen behind the dice tray section. The screen would also get finger prints on it pretty easy if you were lifting it in and out (as recommended) each time you wrote on it. I tried to capture that in a picture as well. Maybe if there was a small section on one corner or side with a grab area or textured stickers for the person to place where they would grab? and the third issue had to do with the screen again. It was sized just perfectly not to be able to drop into the rolling area, or anywhere for that matter, when you are done. if it was a little smaller (seriously 1/4" or 3mm) and it could lay across the rolling area and be nice and rectangular for storage but nope hangs over. Oh, the last thing was making the hole to stand the pen in a little deeper or supplying pens that don't have the little nob on the bottom. You can see in the pictures that the pen sits at an angle. My autistic son has requisitioned it for now. Other stuff we have from this company has been great so the little quirks here seemed like it just didn't get play tested before release. It's good but could be Great.

I’m absolutely thrilled with this score board/tray. I recognize that the price is a bit higher than some other items that seem similar. However, I absolutely think that it is justified. For the quality of this item, I actually think it is a great value, and will withstand the test of time. Out of the box, the quality was obvious immediately. The tray is solid, and looks fantastic. This is NOT a cheaply made, flimsy tray. The wood itself looks gorgeous, the inlay of the dice tray is appealing, and the score board is thicker than expected, so it doesn't feel fragile at all. The electronics work fluidly, without any issue, no needing to press multiple times, etc. I didn't even realize that the color of the light can change (7 different colors) so that was a nice surprise as well. Short taps on the button change the color, long press turns it off. It’s become an instant hit at every game night. It has a great presence on the table, even when sharing the space with a larger game. We've used it during D&D sessions as an incentive tracker, and it adds a really cool vibe to the table. The included markers have great ink that doesn’t smudge, and shows up vividly on the board as well. The dice tray area is well-padded and cuts down on the noise from the rolls significantly. I also love the portability. The score board comes off and can lay across the top so that it takes up about as much space as a medium sized book. Overall, even though I felt this needed to meet a pretty high standard given the price point, it's been a fantastic addition to game nights and I would happily recommend it as a quality piece that is well worth it.

I set this up during a game night and everyone noticed it right away. The lights are bright but not blinding. I like being able to change colors depending on the game. The surface wipes clean easily after writing on it. Dice stayed contained and didn’t bounce everywhere. The bamboo base feels sturdy and not cheap. Touch controls worked without needing to press hard. It added something fun without feeling gimmicky. I’ve used it more than once and it’s held up well so far.
