LCD Adhesive Strips Opening Tools Opening Wheel & 5 Blades for iMac A1418 A1419

First time trying to open this type of iMac and it was far easier than I thought. Adhesive strips fit well and not too fiddly to use, e.g. not sticking to itself when peeling off the backings etc if you are careful.

This made it easier to remove the display from a 21.5in IMac to upgrade a faulty hard disc.

I was a bit doubtful about this but it works very well, and made the opening of my iMac desktop an easy task.

If I could give a minus score, I most certainly would! This piece of useless equipment, made of flimsy material which bends when ever you apply it to the thinnest of sticky tape, costs £10 and is totally useless. I am surprised that Amazon would even consider stocking this. I am hugely disappointed in this product.

Despite the one strongly negative review here, this little tool does the job perfectly. Last night, I used it to get the screen off my 27" iMac prior to installing an SSD. Frankly, I found it a quite ticklish experience because if you apply too much force, then (a) you're not doing it right and (b) you run a real risk of cracking the screen. Fortunately, I watched the relevant YouTube videos beforehand, and all went well. All I can say to the person who complained that the tool was bending is: "Don't do it like that!". You have to take your time, be gentle, and be patient. If you run the wheel carefully up and down the groove between screen and chassis, then it won't bend. Just be prepared to go over the same ground multiple times, digging just a little deeper with each cut. Personally, I think it's a great little item and it's terrific that you get all those spare blades. I only needed to use one.

This item did exactly what I wanted it to, it came with replacement cutting wheels but I only need the one.worked well and the job is done, took a lot of pressure off of a scary procedure.

Acheter pour changer le disque dur poussif de mon iMac 2017 pour mettre un ssd a la place. Permet de démonter sans abimer la structure de l'orinateur, un cutter risque de couper les câbles et de rayer.

Per aprire iMac, non c'è bisogno di altro, aperto in un minuto.
