Created in the UK, over a two-year collaboration between former Bliss spa-entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore, Biomechanist Dr. David Cook and a team of untiring footwear engineers, FitFlops were initially designed to help modern women squeeze a little more exercise into their increasingly hectic schedules."I thought, how amazing if I could invent something that would help fight the onset of cellulite while I'm walking to the office," says Kilgore. "I work. I have kids. I have a husband. And the likelihood of me seeing the inside of a gym in the next ten years is slim to none. That said, I'd obviously prefer to go with slim." Kilgore found Dr. Cook at The Centre for Human Performance at London's LSBU, where he envisioned injecting the patent-pending 'microwobbleboard' technology into the midsole of the function-forward flip flop. Slightly destabilizing, FitFlops feature three distinct densities of EVA foam in a single-fused underfoot piece, to challenge your muscles more every time you step - to deliver a workout while you walk.

Ordered it in Mazarine Blue and what I received did not look at all like what was pictured. Twice.
I had a hard time rating this. For fit and comfort, 5 stars. However, I ordered it in Mazarine Blue and what I received did not look at all like what was pictured and the difference can not be blamed on the computer screen. I added a photo and you can clearly see that whereas the sandal and stones pictured at Amazon are "tone-in-tone", the stones of my sandals are turquoise not blue and instead of blending with the sandal, they stand out. Not bad looking, but also for sure not what I wanted/expected/ordered. 1 star. (K.'s wife)UPDATE: On sale for $30 and since they are very comfortable, I ordered another pair even though I took the chance of not getting what is pictured. Sure enough, another pair with turquoise stones.

Obsessed with FITFLOPS!
LUV me some FITFLOPS! Can't ever have too many! Discovered them when I developed plantars fasciitis a few years ago. Read reviews online & people said this was the only shoe they could wear without being in pain. I ordered a pair & they were so right. So I ordered 3 more pair & that began my luv affair with this brand of shoe. I have many & keep adding to my collection as funds will allow. They are sturdy & very well made. My first pair still looks new & I wear them ALLOT! I recommend you do read reviews on the different styles be cuz some of the newer ones like the jellies are not getting good reviews. Who better person to tell us then those who've purchased! I wear a size 9 1/2-10. In these a size 9 fits perfect! Also some styles run wider than others & that info is sometimes shared in consumer reviews. Order yours today & start your fitflop obsession! You can thank me later! ;)

Beautiful Sandals But a Little Large
I love the look of these sandals and they are quite comfortable. However, I have feet that are between a medium and a wide and I find I'm slipping around a bit in these sandals. The straps are larger than other Fitflops I have (12 pairs). Also, the straps on the sandals are on the thin side, so I think they have stretched out a little from the first wear. I wouldn't bother if you have feet that are medium to narrow.

My first pair
Update 9/10/2016 - the heel/bottom is coming apart on one of my fit flops. I'm not very happy. This is my first pair of fit flops and I'm not really happy now. I do like the comfort but if they fall apart they aren't worth the money. I wish there was a way to contact the seller to see if they would make it right.Love these fitflops this is my first pair. I did have to order a 9 because they didn't have an 8 1/2 but they fit good and are very comfy. Wish they did half sizes tho.

Love these! And the purple is really a neutral.
Love these and a great price too! I have been wearing Fit Flops ever since Oprah first introduced them. These are snazzy, but fun, not overwhelming on the foot. Surprisingly, the purple is a rather neutral color if you want to get away from just black and tan Fit Flops. I was concerned about the band being bothersome and it's not at all. Wore them out of the box and loved them and received compliments! I wear a 9/10 women's shoe and I tend toward a roomier width and these were just perfect!

Unfortunately while the picture looks like a bright almost royal blue with matching stone, the shoe that arrived was a darker navy with a turquoise stone. Since I bought these for my sister because they were close to the local school color (in the picture) I had to send them back. So sad. otherwise they would have been great.

Shoes don't match picture online!!! BUYER BEWARE!!
I received a set of fit flops that don't look anything like the online picture. The bead is bright turquoise against a dark blue sandal. Deceptive selling practices here. Amazon should fix this to reflect actual look of the sandal. I am not the only one reporting this. BUYER BEWARE!

Straps are too large for the shoe size.
Not as bad as another pair of FitFlops I purchased (Flora Nubuck, the straps on which are HUGE) but these shoes do not hug my feet at all and I feel like I'm floating when I walk in them. I have been buying FitFlops for years, so it's disappointing to buy shoes that don't fit when they're produced by the same brand. My suspicion is that the brand is catering to feet that are both long -and- large, so when you move up into sizes like 10 they are oversizing the straps.
