When I first got this an opened this package I was somewhat disappointed with the contents. The weedy, kinked hosepipe seemed rather thin and short - in fact massively short of the advertised 50ft! Also in the package was a cheap looking hose reel that hooks over the tap, a plastic spray nozzle, and a tap connector. I proceeded to install it on my outside tap regardless. However, when turned-on at the tap, I was blown-away by just how much the hospipe expanded not only in length but in girth until it was the thickness of a standard hose and had expanded to the full 50ft! Amazing, why has no-one thought to produce hosepipes like this before I thought? Anyway, testing out the spray nozzle I discovered that all but one - 'soak' - of the spray nozzle modes worked extremely well. 'Soak' just seemd to dribble and gush in random directions for some reason. Still, no real issue, there were plenty of other modes to use. I then discovered the clever part; when you turn off the tap and open the nozzle, the hosepipe will expel the excess water as it shrinks back down in size, albeit not quite as short as it was at the start. For the advertised price of £20 (voucher price at the time of review) this is an incredible set even if the hose reel is a bit cheap and nasty. It goes to show that first impressions can be very wrong!

This Feveqher Expandable Garden Hose Pipe is a good quality product. The hose, gun, wall hanger and accessories all feel well made and sturdy. The connector fits securely onto the tap and there were no issues with any leaking. The hose expands well and the water distributes evenly throughout with no issues of bulging etc. I found the trigger on the gun easy to operate and the multiple spray settings all work well. The hose feels lightweight and easy to move about. It will be extremely useful for my mum when she wants to water her plants and also something not too heavy for her to struggle with moving about. Overall a decent product, just a little expensive compared to similar products available.

This kind of expanding hose has some advantages over a traditional hose, mostly the lack of twisting and kinking problems, plus the lightness and small size when empty which is much better for storage. It does look well made and the brass coloured metal connectors at each end seem very securely attached, these lightweight connectors appear to be anodised aluminium rather than brass. The usual type of tap connector is included along with some PTFE tape and spare washers. I have used a number of expanding hose, the previous ones all worked well for a while but didn’t last too long before they burst. This one is slightly different in its construction so I am hoping that it will prove to be more durable and long lasting. Generally it is best to let the hose fill with water whilst gently stretching it out, it quickly expands to full length. After use just turn off the tap and open the nozzle up to allow the water to flow out. As the hose shrinks back it pushes the water out, so it is pretty quick to empty it out before folding it away. The hose nozzle has no less than 10 spray patterns, it works well enough but is only a typical all plastic item, acceptable but average. The hose works as expected, it solves the age old problem of twisting and kinking that is so common with standard hoses and packs down to a pretty small size. It is slightly different from the expanding hoses I have previously used and does look to be an improvement despite the low price point. It will be interesting to see how well it stands up to regular use throughout spring and summer.

Great hose that takes up minimal space. Although I’ve not used this to water the garden yet, as our typical UK weather is taking care of watering the garden, so not used it to its maximum length, i have used it to top up the pond water in the garden. This hose is very nice to use. Firstly, it installed super easy with the included connectors and it stretched beautifully up to the pond. No tugging or pulling or untangle like I had to with the heavy old hose. This hose simply and effortlessly pulled out, stretched and worked perfectly well in filling the pond. When it came to putting it away, I asked my husband if he pd screwed in the storage hose hanger and then he showed me how he’s just popped it over the tap without the need to screw anything in, very clever. So I just looped the hose up and hung it on the provided and now hanged, hanger. Simple and effortless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
