I have the 1970s Second edition and it is still a beautiful read. The USP is that policy applications of the microeconomic theory are expounded and other practical scenarios illustrate microeconomics in action, often in obscure markets (eg the liberalization of meat consumption in New England on Fridays led to a decrease in price of fish and seafood products).
