I've owned two of these insulated bottles and they're great. I cannot speak to how hot it keeps beverages as I'm not a huge coffee/tea drinker so any hot beverages are one-off type drinks where I do not take any with me while moving around. However, it keeps liquids cold for a long time (I'd say even to the 24 hr claim). If you place ice in it, the ice will melt more rapidly than the liquid loses it's coolness, which is to be expected. I recommend not adding any ice unless you absolutely need the texture in your drink as this bottle will keep your drink cold for plenty long on it's own. The double wall does it's job. There's no sweating, no super hot bottles, or super cold ones either. The temperature outside has very little impact on the temperature inside.The flip top lid is very nice. Just flip it up and you have instant access to the liquid at just the right flow. I've found the best way to use the flip top is to turn the bottle upside down and let gravity do its job over as that results in the best flow versus how you might drink from a glass with no flow limitations. One draw back to the lid is that when you flip it up and "lock" it in place, it is sometimes hard to get it to flip back closed. It's a good indication that it's a strong product but just a warning for people with less tensile strength. The lid has a nice watertight seal when it is closed.The 32 oz size is a nice size as it provides enough liquid for a lot of drinking during an activity without being overly burdensome. The hook is nice if you have a carabiner or other clip to attach the bottle to your belt or a bag.

Where do I start... The bottle is of good size. The outside is of a nice metal texture. The bottle does NOT build up condensation (sweat). I filled it up to the top with ice and then added liquid water. I carried it for 4 hours before my first drink. We all know, any regular bottle with that much ice would sweat all over. However, the cap does sweat a little bit. But that's expected.The cap is hard plastic and has rubber which plugs the drinking spout very tight. What I really like, is that the cap's open and close tab goes around where you put your lips. So, if you have the bottle exposed (not in a bag), it covers the lip part and keeps it clean.This bottle is tooooo good. By that, I mean that, once all your liquid water is gone, your ice will be ice for a while. If you don't have fresh water to refill, then you're going to have to either wait a long time or open the cap to help melt the ice.

Over the years I have used at least 20 different drink containers; and none were worth what I paid for them, they sweated, leaked, tasted strange and never kept my water cold . . . those days have vanished!This is an AWSOME container, I do not drink hot beverages so I can only attest to it's ability to keep cold, cold. I have cut way back on the amount of ice from our ice maker because it keeps the temperature so well.I like the large size, usually gets me thru the day and then I refill for night duty.What impressed me most was last week I bumped the container off the bench and it fell on the concrete in such a manner to break the finger loop, I looked online for a new top, when I contacted the company they got right back and sent a new one, free of charge . . . guess who I will be recommending.TNX, NAK! Pride in product still lives!

Just got this bottle and used it for 5 days so far. Love it! Keeps beverage ICE COLD all day. Does not sweat at all. I had no leaks and it is much lighter than a glass bottle (which is what I used to use). The lid is tight and the part that snaps down over sipping area is VERY TIGHT. This keeps it from leaking. I use Tervis straws and the sipping hole only allows for a very thin straw... which is not a big deal overall. The handle is attached to the lid so if you take the lid off for a fat straw you lose the ability to easily grab the bottle and go. ADDENDUM: I lost my lid and NAK replaced for me pronto. I love great customer service and I love this bottle!

I purchased this bottle 9 months ago. Use it every day.Pros:1) Good price2) Does a good job of keeping beverage cold considering the un-insulated lid.Cons:1) If it tips over, IT WILL LEAK! This alone is a deal killer. Too many spills in the car and in my Maxpedition bag.2) Not air tight. Cap it tight with cold water inside and you will hear it occasionally whistle as air is vented.3) Rubber type material on stopper gets gross and does not clean off. I've tried everything.4) Lid is not insulated in any way. Single wall plastic. Condensation forms on the cap. Lots of groves and crevices make it hard to clean.5) The opening under the flip cap is a tiny 1/8" slot. Yes, I measured it. Water barely trickles out of it so you need to unscrew the cap.6) Tab on flip cap sticks out from the bottle and can cause it to open in transit. Now you REALLY have a leak.In search of a better water bottle. This time I am paying close attention to the caps.
