SMT Removal Alloy (4.5 feet)

Q: What temperature does this alloy melt at?

It has been a while since I used this. I am just a DIY kind of guy. Not a professional. I used it to remove thru the hole components with a cheap blue colored suctions solder remover. This stuff works great for that and any other component removal. Melting point is around 170 to 200 degrees F. Maybe even lower. I found this spec for Low alloy solder at places like Digikey. This may not be this exact material for that spec, but I know it works great for me to remove stubborn thru hole components. Hope this helps. Maybe the manufacture will answer your question more accurately.

Q: What is the best way to get the low melt solder off the component after removing from pcb so that i can reuse the component again?

Reheat and either use a solder suckered with the flexible tip or a roll of wicking tape.
