Aquarium Scrapper 6"

I have tried many brands of algae scrapers and I am usually disappointed very quickly. I am not a high maintenance aquarium keeper, but I needed something that actually works when cleaning my 50-gallon freshwater tank. My tank usually stays pretty clean, but this is a huge time saver. Most plastic scrapers are warped or become warped, leaving uneven contact with the glass. This means annoying streaks left behind, and I am constantly missing spots or going over 1 spot multiple times. Most metal blade scrapers do not have a good handle, do not have replaceable blades, or also become warped. This is the first scraper that I have found that actually cleans the glass evenly on both the plastic and metal blades, in 1 pass, no scrubbing required. The scrubbing pad is also very durable. Other handled scrubbing pads are too soft to do any good, begin fraying after wear, are no replaceable, are too large to fit in small spaces of the tank, and soak up a lot of water so they drip everywhere and require time to dry out. I usually don't take the time to leave product reviews, but if you are looking for a good product to clean your fish tank glass, don't waste your money on other scrapers. I really like that each piece is removable and easy to replace. You can easily switch from plastic to metal, to the pad, in a couple of clicks. Literally 3 tools in one. This is also the first scraper that I have trusted to remove some very old limescale and calcium buildup on my glass and it did so with ease and d NOT not scratch. This easily removed the soft green powder like algae on the glass, and some hard brown and green algae spots. I do love that it floats, wet hands get slippery. Very versatile, replaceable, switchable, and usable. Thank you Seachem for making a great product, this purchase was very worth the money. Whoever designed this made up for all of the poor designs of other tank scrapers.

I have several other scrapers, ones where the pad is attached to the handle and can't be replaced. They're bulky and hard to maneuver around rocks and other decor. I decided to try this one with my newest tank and it's great. It's lightweight, the handle length is perfect for my 55 gallon tank, the slimmer profile makes it easy to move around the tank and it floats. I love that it comes with a metal blade and a plastic blade, along with the algae pads, and best of all, you can easily replace worn pads and blades. When my other scrapers wear out, I'll definitely buy more of these.

Very robust scraper with a quality blade that won’t bend. The blade also retracts to prevent damage during storage.

Has 2 sides to help remove algae. One is like a razor, sharp, the other a cloth- like surface that is efficient to scrape off algae.

Bent blade. It scratched my glass up! Faulty

The scraper is sturdy. I'll give it that. But it's too short for my 65 gallon. And the blade started rusting after two months. The blade is also not that sharp so it just doesn't do a good job. If you have a glass tank get the piranha float. It's amazing! I just got this handheld one for use in the back middle of my tank where I can't reach with the magnetic scraper. Overall, this seachem scraper is a huge miss for me.
