I've used these EXACT products multiple times over my 4 decades of being a UNION ELECTRICIAN. They always work and their quality remains. If you want something to definitely work, purchase these. If you want to use something that might work, buy something else.

I wanted to replace can lights in my kitchen with more attractive fixtures. My electrician told me it would be very expensive to replace the can lights with a flush mount fixture. Then I found these kits. The kits make the conversion easy and inexpensive! So glad I didn't give up. My kitchen looks amazing!

1) If you ceiling sheet rock extends below the base of the metal can, you can't attach the bracket. I tried to work something out using metal strapping but just didn't work.2) On the one I did manage to get installed, the decorative plastic medallion was about 1/4 inch from the ceiling--not flush and looked really tacky. If you look at the design, I can't imagine how anyone gets the medallion to look good.3) And, as other's have said, self tapping screws are impossible. Need either a drill or other screws.]I bought a set of 6 based on other's positive reviews. Because of delays in remodeling project, I missed return deadline by 4 days. Wish someone who likes this product would take it off my hands.

I used this conversion kit for two different style lights that I converted from 6" can (recessed) fixtures. I installed two mini pendants with a 5" base whereas I needed the medallions, and three 10" flush mounts where I did not. Both applications look great! The only reason they did not score a "5" is because the "self-tapping" screws were anything but, They were not typical metal-piercing self-tapping screws. If you pre-drill they are easy to install and, as stated, look great. Highly recommend.

this 6 pack cost much less than a 2 pack at the local places. they are easy to install

I bought a 6 pack and need more. The instructions are easy to follow. There is also a YouTube video by the manufacturer that gives a step by step tutorial.
