Even right out of the box it's leagues ahead of the craft foam I had been using to make my cosplay armor. The ultra high density sets it apart, making it not only more durable, but makes every step of the foamsmithing process that much easier. It cuts like a dream (make sure your x-acto is sharpened, of course), sands down into beautiful shapes easily, holds it shape when heated and molded, and its smooth surface means that it will take primer and paint without any additional sanding or prep.
