Installation is easy if you're the kind of person who isn't afraid of fixing things. It is an absolutely adequate replacement for the one that came with your shower fixture. Review: Worked Fine for Me - I used this part to fox a leaky shower. I didn’t have any trouble with this part. It was easy to install, and it had all of the parts that I needed to replace everything. Unlike some of the other reviewers’ experiences, my temperature knob was smooth and easy to operate. It’s actually smoother than the original part, but that might be because it was so old. My leak stopped, and the shower works perfectly now. Maybe not being an OEM part means it may fail later on, but since I was replacing a bad OEM part to begin with, I’m not very concerned with trying an aftermarket part. An OEM part would cost more, and I wasn’t able to get one as quickly, either. I’m happy with it so far. I gave it five stars for ease of installation because for me, it was easy. However, if you're not accustomed to DIY projects, plumbing, or things like that you may want to get help with it. It does NOT come with instructions, so you have to have an idea of what you're doing. If not, I'm sure there are videos on YouTube that could help considering they seem to have videos for everything.
