Great grip, good fit. Perfect for the Gameboy.
I recently purchased a classic Gameboy, you remember that old brick-of-a-handheld? Well I've been feeling very nostalgic lately, and have been making a lot of purchases lately, ones that bring my back to my childhood. I plan on passing a lot of things down to my kids, let them experience childhood like I did. So in order for me to clean the device really well, I wanted to open it up, and do a proper job. The only problem was I needed a specific "X" but without one of the sides type screw driving. Little did I know it was called a Triwing Screwdriver. I purchased this one here, and had no problem at all. It hugged the screws very securely, so I never experienced any stripping, and all the screws came off without a fight. Great tool, feels very solid, handle material feels very nice, a bit rubbery for grip. Overall a good experience.

Get THIS triwing, And DO NOT try to use a small flathead!
Many folks on YouTube and elsewhere try to convince you that a very small flathead screwdriver can replace the need for this tool. It is just not the case! Considering the low price of this tool - and the chance to get it with Free Super Saver Shipping - this item RIGHT HERE is the thing you want to invest in.And what an investment it was! Our Wii has been victim to both the 'buzzing noise' issue and a sudden complete halt of drive operation. We knew we had to open the thing. The buzzing issue started about six months ago, and eventually got louder and louder. We started looking at the various triwing tools you could buy, but just never got around to buying the thing. Seemed too complicated! Then the second problem surfaced - the drive stopped spinning entirely. Games went from loading every 4th or 5th try to never loading at all.So, rather than investing in a new Wii with money we just don't have right now (despite the great new lower price and black color) it was time to get a tri-wing screwdriver and open it up and see what is wrong. It couldn't possibly be broken any more than it already was, right?I couldn't be happier about this product. My 10-year-old and I were able to disassemble the Wii by following the YouTube instructions given by by Supermodchips, and in about one hour had the Wii disassembled, tested, reassembled, and the boys are off playing it again as I write this very review!First things first regarding the product review - the triwing screws are SO DANG TINY you will be thankful that you bought a real tool. This one is the exact quality you would expect out of a premium tool, was shipped quickly, and has a rubbery plastic black handle that makes it easy to grip and turn the device.Second - my son and I were able to blow out the dust from all the components once the Wii was disassembled, found two small loose plastic doomahickeys roaming around inside (we still have no clue what they are or where they should go). When testing the drive out after removing those plastic doomahickeys, we followed the YouTube instructions given by WhoTNT on fixing the buzzing noise, and voila!I am SO glad we bought this tool before we tried something else, and ended up having to buy this tool anyway after much frustration. I know there are 'cheaper' ones on other sites, but you do get what you pay for. If you do the Free Super Saver Shipping option with Amazon you will find out that this investment was well worth giving up one McFrappé.

A quality tool
You aren't going to need a tri-wing screwdriver very often, fortunately. But when you do, say for example if you're doing home repairs on your Nintendo Wii, you're going to need a good one. This is the good one. It's well made, grips securely, and won't strip out like a lot of the cheap, more-or-less disposable tri-wing drivers will. Seriously, don't consider any other than this one. If you want to get the job done properly without damaging your Wii (or whatever it is that you're working on) or stripping the screw heads, this is the tool you want.

Wii liked this screwdriver
I needed this to repair a Nintendo Wii - for some reason when putting in a disc the console was unable to read the disc. I decided to take apart the Wii to see if there might be something obviously wrong with the console. We'll there was, I discovered that my 2 year old had shoved a sucker stick into the game slot, which was blocking the laser from reading the disc. Pulled it out and voila - worked like new.Without this screwdriver I'm sure I would have ended up with plenty of stripped screws and a lot of frustration.

Good construction, easy to use
Looking over all the Triwing screwdrivers offered at Amazon, I wasn't sure which one to buy. Nearly every review out there mentioned that the screwdriver would "strip" after the 3rd use which suggested that a lot of these screwdrivers were poorly made. But this screwdriver looked different from the rest and I thought I might try it.Anyway, I just used it to take apart my Wii (to repair a faulty DVD drive) and this screw driver worked great. It took out all the Wii triwing screws perfectly. The tip is still in good shape as are the heads of all the screws. No stripping! And the rotating yellow top makes it easy to work the screwdriver one handed.

Warning - Item is not what is pictured
BUYER BE WARNED!In case they update the image after the review -- The original image was of a nice tri-wing screwdriver with what looked like a nice rubber grip that is easy to hold. It also shows that it comes in a plastic cylindrical case with the word ASDY32 on it.What I received today was a extremely cheap/crude tri-wing screwdriver. The screwdriver I received feels like I should have paid no more than $0.50 for it. The handle is extremely light plastic. It feels like I could crack it just by dropping it on the floor. I actually feel really cheated by this. I know they didn't make a mistake because the Product# on the package I received is the same in the order description.Buy from someone else. There other cheap Tri-Wings out there.

Product Not As Shown
Don't waste your money on this screw driver. Product listed as a SilverHill Triwing Y Screwdriver; It's basically, a small headed phillips screwdriver. There's nothing special about it, what so ever. The item that was delivered was nothing like what was in the photo. The brand I received was GTMax and had a new barcode label saying silverhill placed over the old barcode. The original barcode is WPO20110467. I think the photos for amazon's listing is very misleading. I googled the product name of this listing and found the screwdriver looks like the SilverHill screwdriver at this link:[...]
