The Coffee Bible
This book is a blessing! It is exactly what I was hoping to find since I knew very little about coffee and wanted to learn a lot about all aspects of the industry.I purchased the paperback version because is much less expensive than the hardcover and have no problems with it.It covers all subjects starting from a general view down to every detail making the book an absolute necessity for the beginner as well as the most experienced person. The book is very well written and easy to understand even in the most technical sections. Pictures, figures, graphs, drawings are abundant throughout the book and are also very informative. The author has an extensive experience in this field and it shows in each and every chapter. Big pluses are the explanations of problems, causes, solutions, alternatives, and future outlook.Because this is a magnificent book that can be used as a reference, I would have liked to see larger pictures.

Great reference book
I am a coffee grower in El Salvador. Have not yet finished this book, but see great potential and use for this book. Even though the price is a bit high, it is a great resource and contains many great coffee practices from all over the world.I recommend anyone involved in the coffee producing world to buy this book and add their knowledge to it, if it were possible.

Good reference for coffee farmers
I'm a small time coffee farmer in Kona, Hawaii, USA and have enjoyed reading this book. It's a good reference for some of the proper terms of growing and production of coffee. With it being a worldwide book it is interesting reading up on some of the other techniques used elsewhere and other processes which I can consider doing here. As a farmer it's easy to just do what I've always done but nice to be able to learn from other peoples efforts.

The book is very comprehensive and it contains everything that an aspiring coffee person would need to know in the value chain of coffee. A must buy for those who really want to go into the business. Quite an investment too.

Must-read for anyone in the industry
Superb, practical guide. Simply put, this is a must have for anyone in the industry. The book offers real, practical guidelines and to-the-point information on all stages of the coffee production process. I wish there were books of similar quality for other crops.

Technical But That's What It Is...
The book is tough in that it's full of botany and the technical stuff of growing coffee. It just digs in deep. It's over my head in that respect, but that was not a problem with the book - it was clear that this is what was in it when I bought it. It's the book it says it is... but don't expect it to be a walk in the park unless you are an experienced grower etc. I have to weather the technical level it's written in to get what I need from it. It's got lots of pictures, lots of data, so the journey is mapped well.
