I've not had the free time to finish this yet but I wanted to provide a review as I'm building it because I don't know when I'll get the chance to finish. First thoughts are it's pretty amazing; the base rotates with a little hand crank and both the base and horse are very detailed. As you can see in the picture, the build is seperated into 4 steps, with 4 bags for each step. I found this convenient, as I could empty the bag and sort the pieces by shape. The 2 bags I've used had all the necessary pieces to build the section, with a few leftover pieces, which I assume were added incase others were lost in the process of the build. The pieces go together rather easily, and come apart rather easily too. I mention coming apart because there were a couple of steps which weren't quite clear. The directions themselves are quite detailed, but many of the pieces look similar and the drawings could do a better job of differentiating them. The difficulty in differentiating them is what set me back a couple of times; not a big deal, but I feel the pictures could be a little better. Overall, I'm very happy with this, and look forward to completing it and placing it on a shelf for display. I've seen completed pictures of it, it looks amazing, and when completed, the hand crank will move the mechanical horses legs. For the price, I believe this is a good value compared to something like the big named brand. If you have free time and enjoy building, this is a solid recommendation. I've been building mine while family mambers build other things, which has made for some very good family time.

Grandson age 12 had a great time putting it together. He really likes it. I’m impressed with it.

This was a fun set to build. It was a little involved, but the instructions are very good and gives you step by step instructions. When completed it does move, the tail and fins. There is a power motor that has a switch to make it swim. The design is great and fun. There were no missing pieces. And there is good educational value to it as well. The gears all work together to make the final product. The bags are numbered so it’s built in steps. The motor does not come with batteries so you’ll need a couple AAA batteries. But overall a great value for a fun quality set!!
