Works as advertised, great value
Work very well, easy to install. I used them to quiet down a clock that is located in a bookshelf, and they absorb quite a bit of the sound that was reflecting out of the shelf area surrounding the clock. These panels are lightweight, and easy to cut with a utility knife. I would highly recommend.

Feels high quality
Nice and stiff, looks good. I mean, its no broadband absorber, but thats physically impossible. Worked as expected to tame some high frequency reflections off my desk in the studio.

Polyester panels are very good at absorbing noise
First and foremost, these work. Polyester panels are very good at absorbing noise, echo, and reflections in a room. However, at only 3/8" thick, they're a little less effective on their own than I expected for the price. If I double them up on the wall, it makes a noticeable difference compared to just a single layer of panel. Unfortunately, this means that some 2" thick foam panels do a similar job for cheaper (but also uglier). Perhaps BXI will consider sourcing a 3/4" or 1" thick panel. I can't recommend these as your only acoustic panels in the room, that would be expensive. But, they do work well in conjunction with foam panels and bass traps. If you already have some egg crate foam and it's not cutting it, add these. In short, I would buy these for any home office to help with acoustics, but I wouldn't try building a home theater with these panels alone. Please also note that these are not for soundproofing, so if you're looking to isolate yourself from your neighbors or traffic, you need to look at sound deadening material and/or acoustic insulation.

Silence: BXI Sound Absorber Test Run
In an apartment flanked by the bustling subway line, the BXI Sound Absorber panels have brought much-needed quiet. Designed to capture and dampen sound, these panels have been particularly effective in my study, where clarity and concentration are paramount. Performance: The sound-absorbing material is excellent at reducing incoming noise, particularly the higher frequencies of screeching brakes and clattering tracks. Ease of Use: Lightweight and easy to install, these panels can be arranged in various configurations to optimize sound absorption, making them versatile for any room layout. Aesthetic Versatility: Available in several colors, they can be arranged in aesthetically pleasing patterns that enhance rather than detract from home decor. Overall Experience: The BXI Sound Absorber is more than just functional; it’s a critical component of my home’s defense against external noise. It’s a top-tier choice for urban dwellers facing similar acoustic challenges.

Didn't Absorb Much Sound/Vibration At All
Didn't really absorb much. I would try something else.

Works great for sound baffling for vent pass though.
I used these to make some sound baffles for sound pass throughs in our son’s bedroom and he can’t hear downstairs anymore. Works great.

it works if you put very close to the dr gap, improving the isolation of the sound .

These BXI sound absorber panels are surprisingly effective at reducing echo and background noise in small to medium-sized rooms. The high-density foam feels durable and the 16 x 12 x 3/8 inch size makes them easy to arrange in different layouts. They’re lightweight and simple to mount with adhesive strips (not included), though they may not stick well to textured walls. The black finish looks professional and blends nicely into studio or office setups. A solid choice for improving acoustics without breaking the bank.

Not 12x16. Actual dimensions: 11 7/8 x 15 3/4. Now while the dimensions are a little smaller than claimed, they were all the EXACT same size and nice and square so they all still lined up together nicely, they just had a tiny gap when placed with anything exactly 12”. Product is a nice black, very rigid (similar to styrofoam, just denser). Stuck well with gorilla glue adhesive spray. Arrived quickly but only comes wrapped in plastic. Mine came wrapped in plastic wrap with amazon delivery in another box so it was ok but I would say there’s a small possibility of damaged corners when purchasing solo as it’s only wrapped in plastic. Kinda disappointing for the price. Currently use mine on the wall beside my bed (bed in corner of room) to help with reverb and noise dampening at night. I also wanted a product that would be able to handle my dogs kicking at it and to also stop my elbows/knees from going through the wall in my sleep and this product really seems to cover all of those areas, just wish it was 12x16 but in this particular case it worked or better shorter. Overall still happy with the product, but a little expensive and not exactly 12x16 so 4 stars. Would recommend for the cuts being very straight
