They worked great for my desk. Exact replacement of some ugly brass locks.

I inherited a credenza from the 1960's and the lock was frozen. Searched on line and found this model that looked similar and some of the dimensions matched up. For the price was willing to take a chance and it is an exact drop in replacement. Could not be happier with the quality, the fit and the price.

Product as described and the lock portion seems to work well. The screws provided for the strike plate were so flimsy both their heads torqued completely off even despite me having drilled holes for them, so be wary of that during installation.

I replaced a broken lock from my desk with this. I'm happy with the lock. It is very similar to my last one. Even though I had a stripped out screwdriver bit on my cordless drill, these screws were no problem. A little straight on, level and even pushing and they went right in. Of course, I did drill pilot holes for the catch because I had to pierce the veneer, but with the other 2 it wasn't even necessary because they were going into wood without veneer. The only drawback was that I even HAD to use the catch. The cut for the old lock was too high for this lock's bolt to reach. Obviously there was no way of knowing how this would have fit my particular desk when this lock was manufactured so it was great the catch was included so I didn't have to buy a different one with a longer bolt. Be sure to measure accurately. You want the bolt to pass the catch before locking. I had to adjust my desk and fix my secondary locking mechanism as one side was working and the other was blocking. I ended up having to fix that problem before being able to close my drawer evenly. The catch was in the wrong place the first time because of it. I'm excited to install the second one on something else. It's great all the keys are the same so I won't have to worry if I have the right one. And if I find one of these someplace else, I can just open other people's cabinets as well :b ...lol. Seriously though, it's not likely someone I know has this same lock. These are just for keeping the honest honest. If you're looking to keep criminals out, a cordless drill can defeat my center desk drawer by taking off the rails from below. This will keep your kids out until you have a chance to teach them about boundaries and honesty.

The lock seems to be of exceptional quality and I give the lock itself 5 Stars but the keys have some kind of cheap swivel mechanism and if that breaks and the key falls unnoticed then you're S.O.L. and for that reason I only give an overall 3 stars. Word of advice, leave the keys home or you WILL loose them.

These locks were easy to install and look nice on my dresser and vanity. They are good quality.
