I recent bought 2 bookcases and one credenza from this seller. I am greatly impressed and in love with the final look of this set up. The packaging was A+. The exterior boxes had dents and scrapes but, because it had extra foam all around, none of the parts were damaged at all. They are not solid wood but these are Not flimsy units. The individual parts have a solid feel to them. The assembly instructions where clear, all the parts where in the packaging with additional spares and, my sister and I, put all three pieces of furniture together. We are senior citizens but used to this sort of "activity". It took us around 3 hours for each piece. As you can see in the photos I decided not to add the back panels to the upper parts of the book cases. I prefer this look to the fully encased bookcases. In doing this they are still firm, nothing flimsy about them. I recommend these pieces of furniture! I read the instructions were terrible. They were so easy and step by step to set up that my 4,6,&8 year old helped me put them together and they are solid. They took forever with littles helping about 9 hours divided over two days for all three. But kids always make projects take longer. There were zero issues. Plenty of extra pieces just in case and they are solid and will work great for displaying our kids Lego creations in our family room which is what we got them for. Toys on the bottom and built Lego creations on top. The quality far surpasses what I expected to get for the price. It's really heavy weight and looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture. Took me and my father about an hour to put together. Instructions were pretty straight forward (images, not words), and we had all of the hardware and holes were drilled properly. There was one little chip out of one of the sides but it's on the inside where you won't really notice it. Doors can easily be adjusted to fit perfectly (ignore the reviews complaining about this, they don't understand how to adjust using the door hardware), and there are little feet screwed into the bottom that allow you to level it. Shelves have 3 different height options. Overall really really happy with this purchase.
