Installed this attic pull-down hook system last weekend to replace the rope that had been dangling in my hallway. I finally got around to installing this after I’d had it looking at the stark white string hanging in my hallway for three years now… Been meaning to install some sort of “invisible” access. The I ran across this smart combo - a telescoping hook stick and an easy to install loop. The stick is top quality but also small enough to unobtrusive. And the loop is big and solid with several easy installation suggestions. It functions as it should even with 12’ ceilings (thankfully I’m 6’2”). I even spray-painted the hardware to blend in with the ceiling. No more ugly string. Happy customer here. Minus one star as the telescoping stick should be longer.

What a simple idea, but why did it take so long to think of it? This pull down system is perfect for our attic door in the garage. The placement of our attic door in the garage means that the string for the original opener hangs down right in front of my projection screen. I devised a little workaround that hid the cord on a hook, but it required some finagling to unhook it and use it. This pull down system works beautifully to solve this little problem! Attaching the ring to the door was very easy and that was it! I extended the hook and it worked perfectly the first time. No adjustments needed. Now there is no pesky string hanging down and the extension hook makes it so much easier to open. I love this gadget! Very practical and easy to implement.

We got tired of the string hanging down in our sons room where the main attic entrance is, this is the perfect solution for it. It was super easy to install the hook and get it set up, the rod is telescoping so it can be expanded or closed up for storage. It makes opening the attic so much easier and convenient

This ladder pull down system was EXACTLY what we were looking for! Our pull down stairs had a rope attached to it. When you are locating where to attach the bracket and metal pull loop, mark where the stairs are attached to a support piece, such as a wood cross piece. If your attic stairs weren’t installed with wood support pieces, you’ll need to use the washers, screws, and bolts provided. There are 2 different sizes. Once my husband located the wood support, he made a pencil mark where each screw would hold the bracket. After drilling the 2 holes for the screws, make sure to put the metal pull loop beneath the bracket before you attatched the second screw. It is very secure. The telescoping pull down rod works beautifully. When we first opened the package, there was a smell coming from the rubber on the handle. The odor diminished within a day. You’ll notice on the telescoping rod, that there are 2 clamps that open and close. These allow you to extend or shorten the rod according to the height for your attic stairs. This is an easy pull down system for attic stairs. We are both very pleased. (We chose to store the pull down rod inside of a closet door, in order to keep our pets from it.)

This Attic Ladder Pull Down System is a perfect replacement for the old string style system that has been on my attic ladder all these years. Reaching the small handle tied to the end of the string has gotten harder over time, and that problem is gone with the extending hook on this rod. The extension rod also makes putting the ladder back up better because I can guide it all of the way up, so it doesn't slam into place from the springs. This was a perfect solution for us, and at a very reasonable price! The set comes with the pole and all of the hardware needed to install the included loop. Everything included is high quality and very heavy duty. Easy to install and a joy to use. Highly recommended!
