Golden Farms® Premium Millet Spray for Birds (2 Lbs.)

I’ve had SO many birds over my lifetime. My current babies are Parrotletts—one male & 2 females. I’ve had cockatiels, zebra finches, parakeets, & larger birds like African Greys—but the bigger birds aren’t as interested in millet sprays as much as smaller birds. This particular grower & vender has THE BEST MILLET I’ve ever found!!Large, full, & long sprays, round & heavy with delicious millet seeds that my birds can’t get enough of!! Altho the box size might make some bird owners hesitate to purchase that much, I’ve used extra large ziplock bags to package most of the sprays &, after pressing excess air out of the bag & sealing it, I store them in my freezer until needed.These enormous millet sprays are large, long & fat with LOTS of delicious seeds that my birds just LOVE!! When they’ve eaten MOST of the seeds, I gather up the partially eaten sprays & place them on the “bird feeder” table I have on my back porch for the wild birds. They get these “leavings” from my 3 babies, plus 2 different wild bird mixes, & any “leftovers” from MY meals (corn bread, garlic bread, fresh greens (salads), etc, that I don’t finish.I’d MUCH RATHER see my Backyard Friends take advantage of leftovers from MY meals—& NOT the Garbage Man!

I was very impressed with the quality, the stalks are plumb and full. The bags are packaged with no crushing.

We have, finally, found the ultimate millet spray to feed our beloved cockatiels! Thanks to Amazon reviewers, we took a chance and hit the jackpot!! Sleek and Sassy offer millet sprays so fresh, that you can still see a few green areas on the seeds that are still growing. Yes! Each and every strand of millet was large, fat, and GOLDEN!!! They still have their stems, so they continue to receive every last bit of nourishment that the plant could use until consumption. We also love that Sleek & Sassy leave the stems on, because it helps us anchor the spray to the birds' favorite areas to perch. Yes!!! They are TENDER!!! We cannot believe our good fortune, and pray that this continues to be the case, again and again, and again!! We bought the 2 lb box, which contained 32 sprays. We've been experimenting and this is the best millet we've tried so far. Long, thick, golden, no mold (if you've tried cheap millet, you know what I mean). So, we keep coming back to it.Let's be honest, no millet is worth that much money, but nonetheless it's expensive everywhere, and this is good stuff. Truly premium compared to most other brands. I would say luxury.

The millet is quite good quality and seems fresh. The birds really like it. However, the sprays were just tossed in the box without being inside a plastic bag or anything, so they rattled around and shed a fair amount of seeds.... which made a mess in the house while it was waiting to get opened, as the box had small gaps and the millet got everywhere.

All the MIllet sprays in retail stores are puny and stale. I ordered sprays from another company here on Amazon and they were just as bad as the ones in stores. My birds wouldn't even eat it! This MIllet is fresh, light brown, full and fluffy. My birds love it. Shipping was fast and free. It got here in three days! Great company.

I’ve bought spray millet for years and the past few years I’ve switched vendors many times as the quality was never consistent. This millet, however, has consistently been good quality. It’s more expensive than most other brands but I was tired of buying millet that wasn’t fresh, decent size, etc. so I’ve stuck with this vendor. However, they do a terrible job of shipping it as usually there isn’t any packing protection around the millet and many seeds end up at the bottom of the bag. I just ordered another batch and this round a good portion of the millet on one side of all pieces is either smashed or at the bottom of the bag. It’s the side that was on the bottom of the box. Shipping isn’t fast so the box gets bounced around a lot. For the expensive price of this millet it would go a long way to package it correctly with at least a little bubble wrap. Millet spray is fragile and isn’t meant to spend a week going cross country in a box without padding. I might have to reconsider a future order.
