My 93-year-old father-in-law is having trouble with daytime glare and wears prescription glasses. Will these help him in the daytime?

Yes, I wear them mainly at night over me prescription glasses, but have on occasion worn them during daylight hours to reduce glare and they help considerably.  I would recommend them.

I got these for my father. He loves the way they cut the glare especially from oncoming LED headlights which can be very dazzling. He is in his 70’s. These glasses fit over his prescription glasses and seems to work well to cut glare for people who wear glasses. He has been so pleased with how well they have worked for him he has recommended them to several of his friends.

how are they with bright lights coming toward and the rain?

I noticed a big difference. The glasses tend to make the lights look yellow. I do not have to turn away even with highbeams. It does not seem to affect the surroundings. I have not use them in the rain yet. I have driven on wet roads and they do seem to help.

size of glasses up and down?

They are out in the car... but they cover my glasses completely, so at least two inches if not a little more. They cover well.
