Great value for money ...really different with the rope wire...

This is an absolutely wonderful set of outdoor lights. Firstly, nicely boxed and packaged for delivery, each bulb wrapped and a good set of instructions were included. The quality felt really good and is excellent value for money. It was super easy and simple to set up, the string was strong and sturdy and has with stood the wind and rain. They look so beautiful when fully charged and light up the garden well, they are easy to hang on fencing and being so light weight did not need much to hold them firm. Love the different settings, remote timer such a good addition. Can adjust from comfort of the home. So far have not had any issues with the water resistence of them or ability to charge with the solar aspect. Looks fantastic in the garden.

These are excellent lights suspended from 10 metres of thick rope string to hang the 20 reasonable sized light bulbs in the garden or other outdoor space. The light bulb is made from what appears to be an acrylic-plastic with metal screw on ends. They are solar powered & give a terrific bright display of light with 8 different modules of lighting: combination, sequential. chasing/flash, twinkle/flash, in-wave, slo-glo, slow fade & steady on. There is a solar panel with the reverse side showing the power control unit to turn on/off & set the module of light display. The control unit has a covered USB port to boost the power by USB charging, the display showing the amount of charge via 4-bars flashing until 4 bars remain on to show full charge. There is also a remote control & this can be used to set the different modules & the timing sequence: 3-hours on with 21 hours off. 5-hours on with 19 hours off or 8-hours on with 16 hours off. The remote can also adjust the brightness of the lights with 10 levels of brightness. These really are super lights & I will be using them for when we have family gatherings in the warmer weather with evening barbecues to give that extra-special atmospheric touch with the lighting. I've ordered these solar lights to replace my old ones, which are very dim, waterlogged and generally worn out by the weather, so I thought these would be a perfect upgrade, especially as they look really cosy. In the kit, you'll find a few extras, like a remote, 2 mounts, wall plugs and usb-c cable. To be fair, the fence/wall mount and the ground spike don't have a tilting head, they're a fixed angle, so you have less freedom to tilt them towards the sun which is a bit of a faff. The remote is useless for me. It only works from about 3 meters away and only if I stand to the side or back of the solar panel. If I try to use it from the front, it won't work at all. Moving on, the bulbs are quite large, similar to what you'd use indoors and they're very bright. I'd even say they're the brightest solar lights I've ever had. The string is made from jute, which adds a natural and cosy feel to the garden rather than just being coated in cheap plastic. The quality is very good and they're well made overall. Even though the length is 10 meters, there's about a 3 meter gap at the start with no bulbs. I don't know why it's designed like that, but it would've been ideal if the lights started right from the solar panel. In reality, these lights only cover 4 standard fence panels, leaving me with 2 panels completely bare. So really, you only get 7 metres of actual string lights. I forgot to mention that you can change the light modes on the remote or the back of the panel, there are 8 modes but they're very basic and remind me of Christmas tree lights. You can also see the battery level or charging status on the panel and there's a USB-C port to charge them if needed. As for the run time, the battery lasts right until dawn while it's still dark, so the performance is spot on and they do exactly what they're meant to, even though I had my doubts they'd last until morning. All in all, they're really cosy lights but with some drawbacks in my case, like the short range and specific angle of the remote, and that 2m gap without bulbs which makes them 8m rather than 10m. Time will tell if they're hard wearing but for now, they're decent quality and feel like a really good value despite the flaws.

They look quite nice, the rope is a nice aesthetic but the light is purely decorative. Very dim and makes no difference to the surrounding. They were just about bright enough to light up the wood frame that they were attached to. They Lasted about 1 week. I set these up and used them for a grand total of about 2 hours on one occasion. The next time i came to use them the solar panel wasnt charging. Tried charging via the optional USB port but they wouldnt charge. They were under a waterproof canopy so not even exposed to the weather really and still broke. They price probably reflects how long they will last.

I ordered these ZAIYW solar hemp rope string lights for the patio, hoping for something a bit more stylish than the usual plastic festoon sets. The hemp rope really does look the part - much better than the cheap, shiny alternatives I’ve tried before - and the warm white bulbs give off a lovely, inviting glow that’s perfect for evenings outside. The remote and timer are genuinely handy, letting me switch modes or set them to turn off after a few hours without having to faff about with the solar panel. What surprised me was just how convincing the rope looks once it’s up - it adds a proper rustic touch that makes the garden feel like a little holiday spot. For a party, they’re brilliant wrapped around a gazebo or pergola, and the shatterproof bulbs mean you don’t have to worry about the odd knock.
