I started giving Welactin to my dog about a few months ago, following the dosage chart based on weight, and I’m really happy with the results so far. The liquid fish oil blends nicely with his food, and despite being fastidious with tastier treats, he hasn’t turned his nose away. From early on, I noticed that his coat looked noticeably shinier and softer—and not just to me—friends commented on how glossy he seemed. Every few days I’d check for itching or flaking, and those skin irritations that used to nag him have eased up considerably. Beyond cosmetic changes, I’ve observed a subtle difference in his overall mood and mobility too. He seems more energetic during walks and less stiff in the mornings, hinting that the omega‑3s might be helping with joint comfort. The bottle’s scoop makes dosing straightforward, and although the smell is strong because of the fish oil, it hasn’t bothered him (or me) in a noticeable way. My dogs are definitely having an easier time in their old age since I started them on Welactin. I can see that they are more mobile, and it seems like they have less pain getting around. The box comes with a small measuring spoon, but I ditched that after counting how long it took me to fill the spoon to their prescribed amount, and now I just squirt the oil directly onto their food for a four-second count. This makes it so I do not have to clean the spoon every day. So, my dogs love this product, and I love how it has helped them, but my only gripe is the flip top for pouring the oil. My first bottle had a top that you opened completely, and it was connected on one edge. The inner cap had a hole in the center, so I could dispense the oil and then flip the top back on to store the bottle. It was nice and easy, and there was no spillage or dripping during the pouring process. My latest bottle has a top where you push down on one end of the cap, and the cap opens on an angle. The oil comes out on the one side of the cap instead of from the middle like my previous bottle, and I have found that this causes a lot more dripping when I pour the oil into their food. I now have to rinse the bottle every night, which is wasting product and causing a bit of a mess. I will continue to order Welactin, as it has made a big difference for my pugs, but I hope to get the old cap next time. If i do, I will keep it for any future bottles that come with the angled dispensing cap.

My dogs were itchy a couple of years ago. My daughter told me her vet recommended Welactin for her dog's itchy skin. I ordered it to give it a try since her vet recommended it. It worked fabulously! No more itchy skin. It worked on both my dogs. We now have it on subscription and give it to them every day. It comes with a scoop which makes it easy to measure and dose out for each dog. It does have a fishy scent, but it's not super strong. Our dogs are non shedding, so I canot speak to shedding reduction, but it has helped their skin be supple and soft!

Great product. Dog tolerates it well and doesn't have a fishy scent. Easy to drizzle over her kibble.

My dogs vet recommend this brand to me when I asked her what fish oil supplement I should get my dog to help her with her constant itching due to what the vet believes is environmental allergies. She’s been on it for about six weeks and she hardly itches anymore! She used to itch constantly, chew on herself and her ears would become extremely red every time she went out for walks and potty time.
