Fullgreen, Riced Cauliflower (case of 6 pouches)

Excellent for anyone on a weight loss diet. I spice it up a little by adding different flavours to it but it’s fine on its own too. I use it frequently.

Bought these as a healthy option instead of rice, as this was were lowest calories. Tastes far better than it smells, used with curries and rice. Could not find these at my local supermarket, but value for money on the pack of six and delivered to you door.

I have type 2 diabetes, so try to keep carbs low. One way to do this is with cauliflower rice as a replacement for the 'bulk' carbs that accompany the protein and fats I eat. I tend to make my own cauliflower rice and freeze it, but sometimes I don't have any made up and these are a perfect replacement. I have to admit, when they are first opened the smell is unappealing, but once cooked it tastes fine and I use to make pilau rice or egg fried cauliflower rice mixed up with other vegetables. I find it goes well with Cod and chicken dishes, and is quite nice mixed up with garlic mayo! I use plenty of pepper. Mixed nicely with wine sauces from meals as well.

Really nice and healthy

This is a great substitute if you’re trying to incorporate more vegetables to your diet and/ or calorie counting. I enjoy this as a rice substitute and have it with chilli con carne or chicken, etc. It’s so versatile you really could enjoy it with anything. Alone, you can taste it is cauliflower and does need seasoning. I wish it was slightly cheaper than it is, but I would definitely buy it again. I first saw it in Aldi. There’s a sweet potato version which is 40 cals per portion too but I’ve not tried that yet. Doesn’t have the exact same texture as rice but close enough 😊

I was originally excited to try this, as I'm trying to bulk up my meals but not my calories. The intent was to do half cauliflower rice, half normal rice, so I still get the bulk. Unfortunately, I only tried one packet, as they tasted mouldy and rotten in dinner - I couldn't finish and ended up throwing the rest away. There was such a pungent smell when it came out of the microwave that I should have known, really. I don't recommend these to anyone, unless I got a particularly bad batch, but I won't be trying again - I've learnt my lesson, just do it yourself in future.

Not always available in the shops

I started my keto journey a few weeks ago and decided to try this product as a replacement for rice. I had read about the smell but thought I'd be able to mask it with seasoning and herbs, but boy, was I wrong! The smell is absolutely awful, and nothing I added to it could overpower it. We tried 2 pouches and I haven't been brave enough to open another pouch. It's a real shame because the texture is actually lovely, and I was able to easily use my Chinese special fried rice recipe, replacing the rice with cauliflower. Oh, I also read reviews that it's mushy, that was not my experience. I cooked it in an open pan, like a stir fry, so maybe that's the trick.
