Dash Camera Power Adapter (12 Pin) for Hyundai Kia Genesis LED Display USB Power Supply, Easy Installation, 5V 12V Output, D3-038

Truthfully, I was nervous about plugging in a device like this, particularly between the car and the lane detection camera. However, I really wanted to have a dash cam, and I'm not fond of having long wires running hither and yon. Further, my car has the 12 pin connector, not 10 like most Ioniq 5 cars. I'm glad to report that my fears were not justified -- it went in easily, the lane change camera still works fine, and best of all, I can now power any dashcam of my choosing. The only hiccup is that the double sticky tape on the back wouldn't adhere to the plastic on the cover plate of the mirror. I had to upgrade to a better class of adhesive. Now my camera is mounted and working, and I feel much better about being out there with all the bad drivers. No, it won't save me in an accident, but it sure will be helpful in case someone else causes the accident when and if the insurance company wants to apply blame. Nicely done!

Attempted to use on 2026 kia sportage EX. Harness fit nicely but did not turn on the FITDVR and threw a check engine and lance trace code. Must be terrible QC, cool idea but I returned. I don't think it's worth possibly frying my 600 dollar lane trace computer for junk like this.

I have a 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy Hybrid with the digital mirror. The digital mirror makes products similar to this one difficult to buy so options are limited. I wanted to add a dash-cam to my car but didn't want to fight with running a wire under the trim. This one plugs into what I believe is the camera that runs the system for keeping you in your lane. So with 2 different front-facing cameras, Hyundai doesn't let me use either one to record as a dash cam. The adapter fits under the cover that is behind the rear-view mirror that is snapped to the windshield. The lane assist box is about the size of a deck of playing cards. There is also a rain sensor, stuff for the digital mirror and apparently cables that also run to the overhead console. So there isn't much room under here. Installation is a pain in the butt. The adapter is kind of large because in addition to the USB port it also has a 12V port included in the box. I would have been happy with just the USB port in a smaller box, since you have to positions things just right to get the cover to snap back on. There is a relatively thick and stiff connector cable that you plug into the lane assist box, and plug the other end into the cable that runs to the lane assist box. Then there is a selection of USB (and 12V cables that I didn't use) to go from the adapter to the device you are powering. I needed the USBA to USBC cable to run the Vantrue dash cam. The cable runs from the adapter through one of the vent slots on the cover to your device. So several things make the installation difficult. The size of the adapter, the stiff cable, the location you are trying to work in, and the tight space underneath the cover to stick everything into. But, it can be done. After getting everything buttoned up, things get much better. The USB cable is relatively short, so you don't have loops of cable to hide. You make the short run to the dash cam and it works perfectly. I haven't had any problems with the camera powering up, and to my extreme relief, there is no negative impact on the lane assist feature. So this was a win. I understand there is also a type B version of this adapter, which works with the lane assist box that has the connector on the side. So make sure you look before you buy. On the plus side, the wiring is mostly hidden under the stock cover. you have a few inches of wire that run from under the cover to your device. So it looks nice and works as advertised. On the minus side is the tiny amount of space that you have to work with (not FitDVR's fault - but a USB only model would have helped), and the power working only when the car is ON rather than in ACC mode. I can live with this.

It fitted perfectly, I installed it in a 2022 Elantra and a 2024 Kona, it was just plug and connect my dash cam and worked immediately. Good quality and the price was fair when you compare the amount of work would it take to run a cable to the fuse box, this item simplified the installation to about 20 minutes for the front dashcam, and probably an additional 15-20 for the rear one. My dashcam was a VIOFO front and rear, and my front camera had a connector to install the rear one, so I just had to ran the cable.

Worked great on 2026 KIA EV9 to power a dash cam.
