Great set of letters to use to build alphabetic skills
I got the lowercase letters that came with 18 strings. The strings feel like nylon and very easy to grip. It is the kind of string that are not good for shoelaces because they don't hold after you tie your shoe very well, but for this purpose, they are great! The letters easily slide on it. They also have both ends wrapped in plastic to make threading easy. For the letters that are not 'm and w,' the plastic can almost be held on with tiny finger as it goes through the letter initially. This makes it easy for the end to go through the letters that have double holes, such as 'g.' The letters are wide enough to make them easy to grasp with little fingers. The letters are rounded, colors are bright and the plastic is thick enough that they don't seem break easily. I pushed some of the letters like on the letter "m," I pushed on the straight parts. It gave slightly but not where you would think it would break with a child handling them. I love that the individual letters are not the same color. For example, not all the 'w's are green, but are represented by different colors. Here is why - I was a reading specialist for many years and worked with children who needed early literacy experiences. One thing to do is to sort by color first. This pack allows me to do this with my granddaughter before I have her start sorting by letter shapes. The holes in the letters that drop below a line when you write (such as 'g, y, j') are where they do hang lower than the other letters. I love this! The only issue, which I understand, is that the 'p' and 'b' use the same letters - it is how they lay down is if they are a 'b' or a 'p.' This makes the 'p' be uppercase on the string. This is not a deal breaker nor something to bring down a rating, just something that my former 'literacy interventionist' self notices and wanted others to be aware of in case it matters to them. Overall, I believe this is a great set to have. I love that it comes in a container that is flimsy too.

Great for letter learning and letter identification
I was able to get this letter beads with laces for my 5-year-old daughter to play with. I love that the set comes with laces to help with sorting letters in order, letter identification, and also helps with spelling. Overall, this letter beads have really improved my daughters letter recognition and spelling sight words and her full name. The beads are made of great quality plastic, they are thick, letters are brightly colored, and they are the perfect size for tiny hands. The strings in this set are also made of good quality and come in a variety of colors. It's worth mentioning that the holes in the letters are perfect for the laces in the set and the container they come in is perfect for storage. Overall, I really like this set and the versatility of it makes it a great value. It's perfect for letter recognition, letter learning, sorting, and color identification as well. I do recommend it.

Great Learning Toy!
These were a big hit with my granddaughters, ages 4 and 2. The 2-year-old learned the letters “A” and “O” (she liked to put "O"s on her fingers) and was able to lace letters that weren’t really wide. She was also occasionally able to find many of the letters we needed. However, I think the suggestion of ages 3+ is a good one overall. The 4-year-old was able to find the letters and lace them with no problem. This was a great learning activity, since we found multiples of each needed letter before the girls chose which colors to thread. We made 8 necklaces before running out of the letter “A”. We used a square knot to tie the necklaces, and most of the adults who received them as gifts were able to pull them over their heads. For those with larger heads, they just untied and re-tied the knot. My only suggestion would be to supply more of the common letters and fewer of the uncommon letters, such as “Q”, “X”, and “Z”. For the most part, my granddaughters spelled names, and they will never use even half of the supplied 10 each of these uncommon letters. I really like the container with its carrying handle. This is an excellent craft for younger kids!

Educational set of letters for fine motor development, spelling, colors, etc.
These lacing beads are great for learning letters, spelling, and colors. The beads are thick, good quality plastic, brightly colored, and appropriately size for preschoolers and school-age kids. The strings that come in this set are also good quality and come in a variety of colors. The holes in the beads are sized well for lacing the strings, too. I appreciate that it all comes in a container that keeps the set stored neatly, and the lid has a handle that can flip up for easy carrying.

Wonderful Learning Toy
This is a great toy for littles who are starting to learn letters, and is versatile through several stages of reading skills! The product itself is good quality. The letters are shaped well, mostly smooth, and are easy to lace (but not too easy, it's a good fine motor development toy). You get tons of lacesand multiples of all the lerters, so it could be used in a classroom setting. The concept is great too. You could make a game out of picking out letters and making words. At my kid's preschool stage, it's just a great tool to encourage letter recognition and practice putting them together. Highly recommended!

Great for motor skills and reading!
These have been a HUGE hit with my 3 year old! They are on the smaller side, but not small enough that I’m worried. My daughter is able to hang on to them easily and thread them on the string fairly easily. It’s been good for her fine motor skills development. She also loves sorting them by color and by letter. We’ve been talking about what each letter is and she’s starting to get really good at identifying letters! She doesn’t really care about spelling things yet, but just really enjoys the stringing part of it!

Old school toys that have been around for generations now, and for a good reason.
Great for letter recognition and hand/eye coordination. These are very old school toys that have been around for generations now, and for a good reason. Being able to touch and feel the shape of the letters has been shown to help ingrain them in a child’s brain, making learning to read much easier. If your child is showing early signs of dyslexia, you need to know that these don’t have anything to mark which side or direction is up, but this can still be helpful if you paint some glitter nail polish on one side to show which way is up. Still, these have helped many kids to learn and I’m sure that they will help your kids as well.

Fun and educational
This is perfect for my 2 1/5 and 5 year old. I had fun playing with these too. They’re a nice quality and easy to thread. I appreciate that the container has a screw on lid, to avoid pieces all over the place when I’m not prepared, and the handle makes it super convenient to tote around. I feel these are fairly priced. These are perfect for learning letters, spelling, and matching colors.
