Review: Not fun if you actually Love God's and goddess but key to the storyline - I wish DC wouldn't mess around and disrespect the gods and goddess, yes I am spiritual and religious, I still love superhero comics but it would be like writers rolling in and making superman act out of character all the time. The aquaman storyline crossover is incorporated into the main storyline fine, tho it is rather long in the book Review: Drowned Earth is better. - It’s ok, basically just a condensed version of Justice league/Aquaman: Drowned Earth.

I really regret that DC did it this way, but this collected volume overlaps tremendously with the collected Justice League/Auquaman: Drowned Earth release. The two releases are almost identical, with a couple exceptions. This one includes JL #8 and 9, and the collected JL/A: DE volume contains three Aquaman issues not included here. This means if you're a JL collector who wants issues 8-9 you'll have to buy this. Issue 8 is a Legion of Doom story (Lex recruiting Cheetah and Black Manta), and Issue 9 is a virtually stand-alone issue (Superman vs. the Coronavores) that is quite good. For my money I wish they'd included these two issues in JL: Vol. 1 and just released the complete Drowned Earth story in a single volume. However, DC does have a history of double dipping on some customers to get them to buy a TPB with stories they already have in other collections. If you're a DC customer you're already used to this practice. However, if you're here for the Drowned Earth story, which occupies 90 percent of this volume, do yourself a favor and just buy the collected Justice League/Aquaman: Drowned Earth volume, instead. If you're a completeist, than by all means buy both. However, you've been warned: if you own both volumes you aren't getting a lot of unique material in either.

A few thousand years ago, Atlantean hero Arion sends a beacon to other sea world's across the galaxy. Three extraterrestrial sea Gods then invade Earth but get defeated by Poseidon and Atlantean hero Arion. They are imprisoned in the Graveyard of the Gods. Then in the current time line, the Legion of doom frees them and they unleash upon earth an Armageddon which will drown the entire planet within hours. The water when it touches a person converts them into fish creatures controlled by the 3 Gods. The story then focuses on how the Justice league along with Mera defeat the extraterrestrial Sea Gods and Black Manta. This hard cover book is a mish mash of various books put together with a huge boring build up. Various writers ( Scott Synder, Dan Abnett and James Tynion) and artists (7 different pencillers) have their say in this story which possibly could have been a really great adventure however ends up in a fizzle. Majority of the book is spent on just the build up and the ending is swift and straight forward that it leaves a lot to be desired.

The drawing threw me off but i got use to it after a while. The story is interesting if you were a fan of the JL
