They are like regular playing cards but blank. They nicely shuffle and hold up very well. They deal very well and make a nice sound when dealing. For my purpose, I used Sharpie markers to write on the cards. My g-2ink pens were easy to smear and most of my alcohol markers smeared. Sharpie markers worked great. I didn't try to print on them with a printer. Highly recommend and will buy again. My first set were used almost every day for several weeks with no wear.
