Absolutely beautiful! It is very roomy, well made with excellent quality zippers, pulls and straps. It says it has been treated with oil, but I put a good coat of mink oil on it and it looks fantastic. Should work wonderfully as a carry on or for a short weekend trip. It is made of excellent quality leather and the craftsmanship is beautiful. My only complaint ifk you want to call it that, is that I wish it had feet on the bottom to protect it when put down. My husband was very impressed and is now going to buy one for himself. Highly recommend!

Impressive, within limits, and price. This [same(?) or vastly-similar] bag is sold by several vendors— at least it *appears so— so I went with the lower price, sized within carry-on regs. Kamal *may simply be rebranding (for which I commend their sourcing), but they could leave off with the fabric bag, and the leather nameplate sewn inside could just be burned into the surface. It looks somewhat lux, appears well-made, hardware seems durable (tho I’d prefer solid brass), straps go around the bottom and wear points are riveted, but I’ll expect to replace the zipper pull tabs. Yes, it came well-wrapped, all hardware came covered. It appears to be goatskin, which is *tough (natural drum-heads are ALL goat), tho the dye layer is very thin. To reiterate another reviewer, you have to realize THIS IS A CANVAS BAG SEWN WITH THIN GOATSKIN. The inner canvas is coarse, true but acceptable, and the leather thickness is adequate BECAUSE it’s goatskin. The thick shoulder strap appears to be full grain on one side (mine shows a few “features”, no worries), tho positioning of the pad is curiously best *under the buckle. The inner pocket is tiny; the outer pocket expands, but should not contain valuables in Naples or in urban crowds. Jussayin. [IMHO, straps on airport luggage should contain a metal cable.] THE AROMA IS STRONG IN THIS ONE— *NOT the “good smell of a leather shop”); it was almost overwhelming on delivery! I left it outdoors for a day and it subsided, but was still *pungent, so I tested Fabreeze Extra Strength on the bottom. This, after drying, had NO visible effect on the (non-waterproof) leather, so I pretty much saturated the entirety with Fabreeze and put dryer sheets in the pockets. After *completely drying, the malodor was lessened — and might resolve in time. The REAL CURE was when I next day applied Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner (which is first choice for many saddlers here in CO), which softens the leather —without being greasy or sticky (beware others). The primary reason for this is that I’ll use it at the gym (always potentially incurring wetness), and this stuff inhibits mold and mildew! I’ll thus probably waterproof the bottom, [I SHOULD have (first) rubbed the bottom with silicone grout sealant from Home Depot, which will be very resistant to water]. Make certain to get the leather inner seams and inside the front pocket. The Leather Therapy somewhat darkens the leather to almost a “tobacco” patina, feels great. For the price, overall —and with 45 mins work— this can’t be beat!

First, I rarely give 5 stars. Between the quality and price, this product earns all 5. Quality: Full leather exterior and canvas interior. The leather is of good quality and the hardware is very good as well. Craftsmanship is top notched and this bag could easily sell for $250. The shoulder strap is removable on this 21" bag (it's not on the 24" version) and it's nice to have both a shoulder strap and hand straps. Both are _very_ rugged. There is a small interior pocket that zips. Since I use this as a carry on travel bag, I put my toiletries in this pocket. There is also an exterior pocket that is much larger. I use this to throw my phone and wallet in when I go through airport security and remove them after the check. It does have a flap and buckle on it but I don't trust that a pick pocket could get into the pocket so I don't use it for larger /expensive items in the airport. Many people comment about the smell. As mentioned in other reviews... it smells like leather. Surprise! I actually liked the leather smell. It meant it was actually leather. I could not smell it from 5' away. It diminished greatly after a week and I can only smell it around 1' away. I still like the slight smell. I did treat the bag with a quality leather conditioner that also protects the leather. It did soften the leather nicely but the bag feels great even without that. I was able to pack everything for a 2 day business trip including a suit. I rolled some items and put my dress shirts and suit into air tight bags with a little air to protect against creases. I could easily pack for 4 days without the suit. Stitching on the bag is perfect and strong. Connecting hardware is fashionable and good quality. Zippers are very good. the bag and all of it's connected hardware come _well_ wrapped. Seriously, it will take about 15 minutes to remove all of the protective wrapping. As I mentioned, you can't go wrong at the current price. Kudos to Komal for being able to make such a nice bag and keep the price so low. Some people may question the quality because the price is so low. I'm sure bags costing $300- $500 might use better leather but I think you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. The _only_ improvement I could see is adding a loop/double zipper on the top to give better access to the interior. I would have paid an extra $10-$20 for this. But the bag works just fine as it is. I paid full price for this bag and an not associated with the manufacture. As mentioned above, I seldom give a product 5 stars but this bag deserves such. Edit: 9 years later and it still looks GREAT! Now, I do use a leather conditioner every few years but that only takes a couple of minutes to apply. Seriously, it looks as good as it did the day it arrived. It _might_ have a slight patina to the leather but that only makes it look better.

Detailed woth personal opinions: The bag arrived I opened it up and had to let it take shape, once I did. Oh my was it a beautiful sight! Its colors is different from the bag on the website it's a lighter color. In my opinion I still really enjoy the color even thought it is slightly different. I also love the exact sizing of it because it's fits exactly what I need when I go on trips. I did not fly with it yet so can not verify the TSA carry-on sizes. The zippers are covered in plastic and so are pretty much any metals definitely feels good.to know the seller cares that much. I sincerely love the fact the personal letter was a beautiful touch! Felt nice reading it, thank you. Summary review: Quality leather, space is good for a few outfits over night and storage with atleast 7 days worth of clothes if you fold them properly. The color is different than picture it's lighter, side pockets are perfect for any kind of notebook storage, middle is great for passport rfid holders. Overall perfect for travel I love the bag thanks for a quality product! Uploading video and pics later on.

Bin sehr zufrieden. Das Leder ist bei Lieferung deutlich heller, gewinnt aber wohl mit der Zeit an Patina und den Vintage Charakter. Es liegt ein Schreiben des Herstellers aus Illinois USA bei, dass alles erklärt. Verarbeitung ist aus meiner Sicht tadellos und das bei einem sehr guten Preis. Sie riecht nur nach Leder und es wurden keine Chemikalien verwendet. Lediglich Sonne und Pflanzliche Öle zum gerben verwendet. Ich bin rundum zufrieden und das zu einem tollen Preis.

this is one of the best purchases I have ever made in terms of value. worth twice as much. the design is well thought out, great reinforcement, double stitching etc. the smell is not bad at all, any review complaints of smell are from people who don't understand it as a bonus! genuine leather smell fade over time but always prove verity and quality over plastic imitation. I have travelled the world and owned several bags costing far more and this matches them. I give honest reviews usually short like 'good'. this is 'very good' and worth the time to thank the maker for genuine knowledge and thoughts put into this at this price point. even arriving with the clingfilm wrapping on the alloy fixings, studs etc. shows commitment other sellers don't offer that it survives storage and travel if in humidity. I am impressed and will recommend to friends and look at their other products. thank you Komal..

Honestly love this bag. I've been trying to migrate from my backpack or suitcase when I'm just travelling for a night or two. This product has solved that issue while looking great. Looks: Really high quality leather and the canvas on the inside is high quality too. There were quite a big of loose strands of canvas when I got it, but I was able to get them out easily in about 2 minutes. The leather looks like it will age really well and give a nice distinctive vintage aged look. Smell: Yes there is a smell. It kinda smells like a farm if you've ever been around one. However, I opened up all the pockets, put a few dryer sheets in and put a fan on it for a while and the smell was practically gone by the first time I used it. The smell is not overpowering and you shouldn't let it sway your decision to buy this product. If anything it shows that it is real quality leather. Functionality: Side pockets are great for an extra pair of shoes or a hygiene kit. The main compartment can easily hold enough clothes for a weekend and a few extras just in case. I use the front strap pocket for my phone charger or something I may need easily accessible. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone who has been trying to find a quality weekend bag without destroying their bank account.
