I shoot with a Nikkormat FTN, two Yashica-Mats (one is an LM) and a Panasonic GX85. My vintage cameras are pretty heavy and I was a little worried that I should have gotten the next size up - the "Roadtrip" version. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy, light and compact the Backpacker version is! I have yet to use it out in the field, but it holds all of my cameras with no problems in my home. I did buy some knock off Arca-Swiss style plates and found them to be just a little too small (by micro-meters). I'm pretty sure it has to do with the knock offs and not the tripod. All in all I am happy with this purchase. I will report back later after I've run it through it's paces!

I am really loving this tripod! As I get familiar with it, setup is much faster. I love how it folds up and can be slung over my should in its carry bag. The color is gorgeous, it's super light yet sturdy, and there are seemingly infinite ways to position it and to position my camera on it. Highly recommend!

This is a nice, light, small tripod that works well for travel, or hiking. I love the removable monopod and use it often. Because it is made to be light weight, it does not rate 5 star for stability or sturdiness. If rating only as a travel tripod I would rate 5 stars, for an everyday use tripod, 3 stars, maybe 4.

This is a backpacking advertised tri-pod and on my first backpacking trip with it, a leg broke off so now I have a two point tri-pod, not very useful. I've tried contacting the company through their website multiple times and they have never responded back. I even offered to pay for a replacement part but still no response at all. I have to give them 1 star since their product broke on the first use and the company does nothing to help you.

Good quality and well thought-out for packing small.

I've yet to really use this tripod as I had to send it in for a repair shortly after acquiring it. It is probably a good product but working with support has been a nightmare. Good luck buyers!

I needed a small and lightweight tripod and the MeFoto is fantastic, I ordered red and it looks great. Sturdy, very well made and suitable for someone upto about 165cm tall (5'5"). Because I use the Manfrotto quick-release plates, I replaced the head with a small Manfrotto ball head to suit. The tripod comes with an Area-swiss type plate and a well made ball head, with spirit level.
