Job (Ignatius Catholic Study Bible) Paperback – June 16, 2014

This is a wonderful study on the perplexing mystery of suffering. The Book of Job addresses this problem head on and is a moving, often poetic series of conversations and ultimate hearing with God over just what has happened to Job. The study guide writers give wonderful background detail to help the reader to understand the surface meaning and deeper spiritual meaning of the text. It helps to convey the truth that GOd is with us in everything, loving us through everything, in times of plenty, and of sorrow. I highly recommend it.

Easy to read version of Job. Not too modern in translation, but not the old Douay-Rheims either. Notes on every page help to clarify the text, and point out where similar verses are in the same book. Very good, I’ll be re-reading this again.

I use this for my class study of the Book of Job. The questions in the back help guide me and the commentary on each page provides clear insight.

I've yet to purchase a book or Catholic Study Bible by Dr. Scott Hahn that wasn't a joy to own. Dr. Hahn is one of the most remarkable biblical scholars our country has ever been blessed with, and his teachings are so well written.

All Ignatius Catholic Bible Studies that I've used (4 of them) have been most concise and comprehensive in accompanying the corresponding CSSI Bible Studies. Anything that Scott Hahn puts his pen to always rates 5 stars! Thank you ~ God bless!
