Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice: A Book-to-Table Classic (Puffin Plated)

Such a great idea! This book not only looks beautiful, it’s quality! I gave it as a gift to a Pride and Prejudice lover and she adores it! It’s a unique blend of delicious recipes and the classic book. Definitely worth the money…and might get one for myself!

I’m really excited about this book—it combines two of my favorite things, reading and cooking. I haven’t had the chance to cook anything yet, but the photos of the recipes all look delicious. The book is really fun, and I love this concept. I’ll definitely be buying the others in the series! It also would make a great gift for any Jane Austen fans in your life. The photos of the recipes are lovely, and the illlustrations in the book are wonderful—piped icing flowers and painted iced cookies. The book did arrive damaged, so I am waiting for the replacement. But I’ve had great experiences with replacements from amazon in the past so I’m not worried about it. Edited to add more details, and to include that I received a new copy that is undamaged!

I have to say I haven't re-read this volume of Pride and Prejudice or tried any of the recipes -- there are only twelve so I wouldn't describe it as a cookbook. And as another reviewer pointed out, they are not vintage but are Martha Stewart recipes. But it is so beautifully illustrated and so charming that is a joy to browse through the pages. Also it's heavier than your usual reading book, but it would be a pleasure to read this lovely volume just to enjoy the presentation and illustrations throughout. The next time I read Pride and Prejudice again, though, I will definitely be picturing Mr. Darcy as played by Colin Firth and try to maintain my composure!

This is pretty awesome! I was experiencing to be a little smaller but I guess I just didn't read the sizes so that was on me. It's super super pretty and it really is the original book. I've already read pride and prejudice and I got this for so I could collect it and I'm very happy that I did. I don't even cook or bake but I love the recipes in it. Those are a ton there are a couple and I really like them. I would definitely recommend this to people who are looking for really pretty great quality copies of pride and prejudice. Happy reading. 😁

I absolutely ADORE this book, the layout, the recipes, everything. It is 100% what I wanted. But this is a warning for people who have trouble holding larger or heavy objects for long periods of time. This book is HEAVY! It was hurting my wrist to read it by the time I was finished with the book. Either I hurt my wrist by holding it up or hurt my neck by not holding it up. That being said, absolutely no regrets, because it's gorgeous and one of my favorite books in my collection now (for writing and story reasons AND for style and recipe reasons). I still highly recommend it, I just want you to know what you're getting into with it.

This edition of Pride and Prejudice is absolutely stunning!! Every page is a delight. I would say it's more of a coffee table version - its size and weight make it uncomfortable for really reading the novel.

My 12yo daughter and I are reading this book together as part of her home school curriculum this year, and I was so excited to find this version, which is BEAUTIFULLY illustrated throughout and accompanied with pastry recipes. I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter, and I just can’t wait to start reading (and baking) with her! She’s a big fan of cooking shows, especially Great British Baking Show. This book has so many recipes; she’s going to be so excited! She loves to read and cook. What a great combination! I’ve already bought A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, which is in this same series. I highly recommend both!

Truly STUNNING book! Prettiest book ever

Excelente, en buen estado, muy bonito y a un precio accesible aún más que otras colecciones de pasta dura, este libro es tan apetitoso a simple vista que sin duda querrás tenerlo en tu colección, con un lindo y precioso detalle en una de las hojas y la tipografía es en realidad una verdadera joya. Simplemente precioso y lo recomiendo mucho. Se te antojaran los postres en cada capítulo lo cual lo hace divertido y entretenido a la vez.

Uma edição linda e super delicada para colecionadores ou adoradores de livros! Comprei de presente para uma amiga apaixonada por Orgulho e Preconceito (que também é dona de um café) e não tenho dúvidas do quanto ela irá amar o presente! As páginas são todas decoradas com biscoitos, detalhes em glacê e as receitas também acompanham algumas citações do livro que deixam tudo mais delicado.
