I have a 20-year old fence that hadn't been painted in at least the past 5 years making the wood very "thirsty", so it actually took 3 coats to get it to look 100% covered. You'll know when you get there because the colour suddenly deepens and the finish takes on a nice eggshell sheen. Was it worth the effort and expense? Absolutely! With the minor repairs I made along the way, it really does look like a brand new fence now from a sensible distance, and I doubt it'll need painting again for a good few years to come. Two of my neighbours have told me how nice it looks now, so that made it doubly worth it. It's dead easy to apply with a cheap brush and not much more expensive than the standard Fence Life paint, so I'd highly recommend this product if you're aiming for professional looking results from a DIY job.

Great coverage, dries quickly. Great finish. Easy to apply with fence brush. Good quality fence paint. Leakes a little. Prepare area beforehand to avoid small leakage drips.

I recently used the Ronseal RSLFLPPWS5L Fence Life Plus in Warm Stone to paint my shed and fence. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. It provides good coverage, especially when using a spray gun. The paint dries quickly, allowing you to recoat without much waiting time, and cleaning brushes is a breeze with just tap water and a bit of washing-up liquid. However, I did encounter some issues. The tubs I ordered from Amazon seemed to be out of date, making the stain runny and harder to apply compared to a fresh batch I later purchased from Wickes, which was thicker and easier to work with. Additionally, the delivery from Amazon took longer than expected. Despite needing four coats to cover a previously bright orange shed, the paint performed well, and the color looks great. It’s also cheaper than equivalent shed paints, making it a good value. I can’t comment on its water resistance yet, but for now, it seems like a solid choice for outdoor painting projects. Overall, I'd buy it again, but I'd prefer to purchase it from a store to ensure freshness and save on delivery time.

Really impressed with this fence paint—it does exactly what it says on the tin. The Dark Oak colour is rich and natural-looking, giving the fence a proper fresh, high-end finish without looking too glossy or artificial. Application is straightforward whether you’re brushing or spraying, and a big bonus is that it can go onto slightly damp wood, which is ideal with unpredictable UK weather. It spreads well, covers evenly, and doesn’t feel too thin like some cheaper alternatives. Ronseal The coverage is excellent, and with a couple of coats it gives a solid, consistent colour. Once dry, it’s fully matt and really brings out the look of the wood while still providing strong protection. What stands out most is the durability—it’s designed to protect against rain, frost, snow, and UV, and the colour is meant to last up to five years. After exposure to typical weather, it holds up well without fading or washing away quickly.

I have been using this fence paint to do all my fences and back garden gate. So easy to use and goes on easily. Would recommend and silupplier sent my order on time so happy.

I expected this paint to be the colour as represented on the picture, or at least similar. In real life it is nowhere near! Have a look at my pic for a true representation of the colour before ordering. As it happens, I love the colour. I have even ordered 2 additional tubs of this colour. I had planned to be all fancy and paint my shed, gate and fence posts in this colour that I thought was charcoal, and the panels in the lighter stone colour. I've not even opened the stone as I know it will be too sickly light, and I'm returning it unopened. I've decided I'm going to have to be not fancy after all and paint my whole fence this 'not charcoal' colour because as I said, it's lovely it's just not as described. It looks to me like Ronseal have been very lazy with their labeling. Their vast colour range is all displayed on the packaging with the exact same photo but different colours which screams to me photoshop and not real life! Come on Ronseal, it's a great product and it only took me 2 coats to get full coverage on my old and battered fence. If the colour was similar to the packaging I would be leaving you 5 stars! Get your act together and take real life pics because what you're doing now just ain't working! In other news it's a fab product. It dries fast, covers well with 2 coats and is dead easy to clean from brushes (and skin! I'm a very mucky painter!) It's a decent paint, I do recommend it but don't rely on the colours on the tin until Ronseal sort it out!! Happy summer everyone 🌞

Lovely colour 4 seaside town!! Proper job. Covering is amazing and doesn’t go everywhere like some fence paints

I found it a lot thinner than the usual Ronseal fence paint so disappointed with the quality. Drying time was fast which is good because it will need another coat. I thought paying extra would mean better quality, only one coat needed but unfortunately no. I won’t buy this again
