Excellent KVM
This is an excellent KVM and works exactly as expected. The packaging is very nice. The KVM itself is made of an all metal construction and appears to be very well made and durable. The product includes the KVM and 2x USB-C to USB-C cables for connecting two devices. In order to complete this review, I needed an HDMI 2.1 cable, a power adapter and a keyboard and mouse. I tested the KVM with two Macbook Pros, one is an M1, the other is a 2018 model. Both support thunderbolt via USB-C. The keyboard I used was connected via the USB-C port on the front of the KVM. The mouse was used wirelessly. With everything connected, I had zero issues getting a full 4k at 120hz with HDR from the HDMI port. I was also able to get the full charging power from my official Apple Macbook Pro M1 charger. The KVM was very easy to use. Simply tap the button on the front of the KVM and the HDMI and USB devices all switch from one Macbook to the other. My only complaint would be the USB hub. While having both USB-C and USB-A is great for connectivity, per the specifications, all three ports on the front of the KVM are only capable of USB 2.0 speeds / 480Mbps. Ideally they would be capable of USB 3 speeds for high speed thumb drives, external hard drives, or daisy chaining thunderbolt. Overall this KVM is highly recommended and was exactly what I needed for switching between my Macbooks.

Great for a dual-use desk
I have a desk at home that I use for both work and personal use. My work laptop and my personal PC share the same monitor, keyboard, and mouse, and before this I was swapping cables around every time I needed to switch between the two. It was annoying enough that I finally looked into KVM switches. This one works really well. Setup was straightforward. You plug in the included USB-C cables to each machine, run an HDMI cable to your monitor, and plug your keyboard and mouse into the front ports. There are two USB-A ports and one USB-C port on the front for peripherals. Switching between machines is just a button press on the unit itself, and it's fast. I haven't noticed any lag or signal issues when switching. The build quality is noticeably solid. It's aluminum and has some weight to it, which I appreciate. It doesn't feel like it's going to slide around or fall apart. It's also pretty compact, so it doesn't take up much desk space, which matters when your desk is already pulling double duty. One thing worth noting is that your devices need USB-C ports that support video output for this to work. That wasn't an issue for me, but it's worth checking before you buy. Also, the switch button is on the unit itself, there's no remote or extension button, so you'll want to keep it somewhere accessible on your desk. The 100W power delivery is a nice bonus too. My work laptop charges through the same USB-C connection, so that's one less cable to deal with. Overall this has made my daily routine of going back and forth between work and personal stuff significantly less annoying. Highly recommend if you have a similar setup.

Perfect for one monitor and two laptops.
I've been looking for one for a while since I have two work laptops for different projects. Includes two usb-c cables that connects to each port of the laptop to the usb-c connections labeled host A and B. Another usb-c connection is for power which I connect to a powered 65watt power bring with a usb-c. One outgoing HDMI port to a monitor. The front has two usb-a ports labeled for a mouse and a keyboard. One extra usb-c connection in the front. The magic happens with one button two switch between hosts A and B. It took a whole minute two switch back and forth but after several tried it's take a few seconds instead. It's much smaller than the docking station I have now. I wish it could output to two monitors but this is great if you have a ultrawide monitor.

Perfect!!! and supports 4k @ 120Hz among other things. And due to small size and shape you don't really miss a remote. You might want to replace the provided usb-c cables with longer ones, depending on what side of the laptop the usb-c ports are. Power delivery to the selected computer. Switching time is physiological if you use usb-c instead of separate HDMI and USB and power towards the laptops.

This is a review of the MINIX K1 USB C KVM Switch 1 Monitors 2 Computers, 4K@120Hz HDR, 100W PD 3.0, Dual USB-C Input KVM Switches, Share Keyboard & Mouse, Aluminum Design, Compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, Android. This product was priced at £34.90 at the time of posting this review. I ordered this to save me from having to swap cables over when I change between my Minix mini P Windows PC and my work laptop. Now I can use my one and only monitor and switch between the two computers as needed. Setting up is easy, just plug the HDMI cable from the monitor into the switch and use the supplied USB-C to USB-C cables to connect the switch to the 2 devices. You will need to supply your own USB power supply. There are 3 USB 2.0 ports on the front panel next to the switch (2 type-A and 1 type-C) for the mouse, keyboard, and one other peripheral e.g. webcam. There’s not much else to say. It just works perfectly. Only downside for me is the size of the print in the user manual which is far too small for me to read even with a magnifier. QR code to download a PDF would be appreciated.

This is a really high quality switch. Or, at least, it feels like high quality to me. It has a metal shell and is quite a bit weightier than my normal kvm switches, not to mention it does so much more. This, in essence is a hub that has switch function on it. 2 UsbA, HDMI, type C, and a separate C charging port. And what I really like about this one is that it's a Type C out, so in essence it can be used on devices that don't use USB A or done have enough of those ports, like mobile items. It even has a charging port app you can use this to charge your devices, but the switch itself doesn't need to have a power source for it to run. I didn't have trouble attaching it to my two computers and having them share my set of keyboard and mouse, and trialed one monitor between them for the sake of checking functions. There didn't seem to be any lag when using them either and images are sharp as ever. It was very easy to use, plugged in and played, and didn't need to look for a power outlet which saved a lot of headaches. The only thing is this switch needs to be placed in an accessible area because the actual switch is on the box itself and there's no extension button with a switching mechanism. Despite that, I would still highly recommend this. [ This is a review for: MINIX K1 USB C KVM Switch 1 Monitors 2 Computers, 4K@120Hz HDR, 100W PD 3.0, Dual USB-C Input KVM Switches, Share Keyboard & Mouse, Aluminum Design, Compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, Android ]

The MINIX K1 USB-C KVM switch is a well engineered solution for anyone running two computers with a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. The aluminium casing feels premium and solid on the desk, with a clean design that suits a professional workspace. Setup is straightforward, particularly if both machines support full USB-C with display output and power delivery. Performance is where this unit stands out. It handles 4K at 120Hz with HDR smoothly, which is ideal for high refresh monitors and modern laptops. Switching between the two computers is quick and stable, with no noticeable lag or signal drop. The 100W PD 3.0 support is a major advantage, allowing compatible laptops to charge through the same cable, which significantly reduces desk clutter. Overall, this is a capable and modern KVM switch that works well across Windows, Mac, Linux and even compatible Android devices. It is best suited to users who rely on USB-C for video and power and want a clean, efficient desk setup. If your devices support the required standards, this is a strong, well built option that delivers both performance and convenience.
