I have been using an inexpensive wooden paddle to learn the game. I decided that I love pickleball enough to purchase my own. This one was reasonably priced and made of a composite material that I'm hoping will give me a little edge and save my battered wrist a little. It feels slightly heavier than the wooden ones, has a larger surface area, but requires somewhat less effort to return the ball-like the energy from the ball hitting the paddle goes back into the ball and not so much through to my hand, wrist and elbow. It might also give me a greater range of shots - a little more control I guess. Not sure yet about how much the edge guard will cause miss shots, but so far it hasn't been too much of an issue. Great value paddle for a moderate, beginner player.

Have just started playing pickleball. I was using an old loaned wooden paddle from a friend when I was playing. I finally decided to buy my own. I am essentially a beginner and only play occasionally, so I didn't see paying an excessive amount of money for a higher end paddle, which can exceed $100. Found this one while browsing on Amazon and decided to try it out. I am glad I did and am very pleased with it so far. The ball strike gives a slightly different sound from the wooden paddle. Like that I also received a cover for the paddle and it has a protective rim around the outer edge for cases where I accidentally strike the ground trying to scoop up a low ball. Overall, I think I made a good purchase and would recommend it to my friends.

I hit some balls with my daughter one week ago for an hour after receiving it. It felt so easy to play with. Great spin control. I like it a lot. I cannot say much about durability yet, but it seems to be well built.Update on 6/14/2019Paddle is great for the price. No complaint from me.However, i am a bit disappointed Baysen has never sent to me the free set of 3 pickleballs. Not a big deal, but still Baysen does not keep its promise.Updated 6/18/2019 -Still have not received the set of free pickleballs. Baysen might as well drop that promotion. Don't mislead customers and waste their time.

The size, weight, quality, and grip are all excellent, the paddle is much better than wooden paddles. I would prefer a slightly heavier one but it is good enough for most shots. It comes with a soft cover and the grip's leather is very comfortable.

I purchased this paddle 4 my wife and she likes it very much. It's lightweight what's good grips uncomfortable to use
