Unlike a lot of reviews I actually ordered these as ball bearings for a gate hinge. True 3/4” bearings. Nice smooth finish for smooth rolling action. Fit perfectly in my application. I didn’t notice any coating as some have mentioned. I only needed a few, but having extras is a bonus. Installed them and coated them with bearing grease and they worked smoother than the original bearings.

I needed these to grind up powder and they work great. Very durable. Great price.

great bearing balls for hobby projects

My son needed steel balls for an engineering project for school. None of the brick & mortar stores in a 25 mile radius had them except a bike store, but their's were too small. These saved the day. Only comment is they were very sticky out of the bag and we needed to wash them before use. Yes, there were lots of fun comments about searching for balls and sticky balls :D He made a cup holder with "wheels." Design was a bit flawed, but he got an A and it is a cool idea. worked great for our school project

These work great for my DIY ball mill made from a rock tumbler. They have just the right heft to crush the material I need pulverized. They are quite round and shiny, exactly as you would expect from a ball bearing. I haven't measured them for size tolerance, but they seem high quality from a visual standpoint.
