Works, need better directions.
Used on Harman pellet stove, over 12 years.old. First time had creosote due to bad pellets. Directions not clear. Finally discovered could spray inside fire box, did so. I used a hair dryer to warm up creosote and then able to brush off. MUST wear a mask. Great product. No noticable odor. Did not treat pellets as auger was clear, concerned about potential damage. Highly recommend.

Absolutely works; Recommend 100%
This is some neat stuff. I bought a house with a wood burning stove and recently had it cleaned for the first time in who knows how long. There's some really serious creosote buildup that was real nasty looking (included pics of untreated doors). My chimney sweeper guy recommended the creosote spray and sticks so I bought them. Today I used the stove for the first time and followed the instructions on the bottle. It says you CANNOT OVERUSE so I eventually kind of went wild with it. In total, I probably used almost half of the bottle. The thing is, I started seeing results in just a few minutes. Actually, I heard it first. Shortly after getting a small fire going I let things heat up for a few minutes before I checked on everything again. I was hearing a lot more crackling than expected. Upon leaning closer I could hear the creosote actually hardening and flaking off the inside of the stove. That's when I started blasting everything with the spray. After a couple hours of burning, the side I heavily treated had so much creosote flaking and peeling. Quite a bit actually fell off. The top of the stove was turning to a more ashy/yellowish color after being exposed to spray and high heat. The right side of the flue didn't get any spray and you can kind of tell in one of my pictures to give you an idea that it does work. Now I can easily scrub off a lot that is left, but will definitely have to continue to use the spray for a more thorough cleaning. This stuff is no joke. It just works and I would 100% recommend for light or heavy creosote buildup.

Great product just wish it went further
I have used this product over 3 winters for my Harman pellet stove and Harman PF100 pellet furnace. The product works very well and I have put it to the test as I only turn off my pellet stove and furnace to clean out. It turns the creosote to a light brown dust that is easy to scrape off and will fall on its own when built up. It is most effective when used regularly to prevent build up and can also be sprayed directly on the sides and heat exchanger or any area inside that will reach high temperatures, which makes it very nice for end of season deep cleaning too. If I had 1 complaint, itโs that I wish it went further. I use about 1.5-2 bottles per winter on each heat source so I go through about 4 bottles a winter. Not bad for burning c.8 tons of wood pellets a season, but not the cheapest or most convenient either. All and all, itโs worth the money and I will be using this product year after year. (Unless I discover something that will prevent creosote from sticking)

Will keep you off your roof all winter! 6 stars if possible!
I've used this stuff for about 10 years now, and can't praise it highly enough (deserves 6+ stars). We've heated our home with wood for nearly 40 years (with the same Vermont Castings stove for 36 of those years) and I squirt a bit of this onto any new wood I add to the fire, without fail. (Our local hardware store also carries it, at about the same price as Amazon Prime) Before discovering this amazing liquid, I had to sweep our chimney nearly every month during the Fall and Winter, and with ice and snow on the roof, that was no fun at all, but could get downright dangerous (leaning a 6 ft stepladder from the main roof up onto the chimney). I was very skeptical the first year or two, but this works! There is NO creosote buildup in our 3-wall stainless chimney now! I still clean its cap Spring and Fall, and run a brush down through it in the Fall before the first fire, but our chimney brush has been semi-retired! I always keep at least one full bottle of this stuff on hand, and wouldn't burn the stove without it. One tip: Throw away the leaky, frustrating sprayer that these come with, and screw on an old nozzle from a Dawn detergent bottle. Much easier to use that way, with no leaking sprayer messing up your stove. Dave DavesRepair.com Acts 4:12

Waste of time and $$
Used product per instructions for pellet stove. Not only did it not remove any creosote from my door and burn area but my augur stopped turning even though my feed motor was working. I assume it is gunked up with this product. It will be an expensive repair. Baking soda paste worked fine.

Good product terrible packaging
Product does as intended in cleaning creosote, but packaging was terrible. Product leaked in packaging causing product loss, and had no tape around nozzle to avoid this or at best proper packaging to avoid bottle from being knocked around. It was just a bottle in a large box. Photos attached. I would have given higher stars if not for this waste.

it works
I forgot to service my pellet stove in the spring and there was a lot of sticky build up after leaving it dirty during our humid summers. This spray did the trick within a few hours of burning the pre treated pellets. The pellets dry quickly, it isn't a big deal to spray some and leaving to dry before putting them in the hopper. It worked on the inside of the stove as well as the pipes. A great find for pellet stove owners!

It is hard to know how well this is working ...
It is hard to know how well this is working. However no chimney fires, and my inspection (phone on a selfie stick with video) shows a clean chimney.
