Good value recycling book with a crafty something for everyone, IMO
I keep toilet roll holders, mainly for planting garden seeds earlier in the year, so I had oodles to hand for this smart book, which is one of a series. The current 'LOOK INSIDE' facility above gives a great insight into this quality publication to see if it is for the craftier folk in your life. It handily includes the CONTENTS page for making:~ SHARK~ BAT~ ELEPHANT~ ROCKET~ PIRATE~ UNICORN~ NINJA~ GINGERBREAD MAN~ CASTLE~ MERMAID…but extension alternatives more than double this selection, including a TREASURE CHEST for your PIRATE, or a FAIRY HOUSE (image below refers).Alongside the CONTENTS page, is an INTRODUCTION with the LIST OF ITEMS you will need (2nd image below refers), along with (depending on age) ‘A GROWN-UP TO HELP YOU WITH ALL OF THE MAKES!’ooOoo~ I AM NOT A TOILET ROLL: THE RECYCLING PROJECT BOOK~ SARA STANFORD~ CARLTON BOOKS LTD‘Printed in China’ooOooFrom the back cover (1st image below refers):‘I AM NOT A TOILET ROLLTHE RECYCLING PROJECT BOOKDon’t throw out that loo roll – recycle it into a fantastic craft project! This book is full of AWESOME MAKES with super simple step-by-step instructions, plus tons of GREAT CRAFT IDEAS.Enjoy crafting everything from a CHEEKY SHARK to a CUTE UNICORN, plus many more makes!’ooOooThe quality publication measures around 22.5 cm x 26 cm. The colourful, shiny, thick cardboard cover opens to 48 matte-finish pages. Each project is set over 4 pages with the title, an opening note, what ‘YOU WILL NEED’ & ‘SET THE SCENE’, with a DID YOU KNOW? splodge that draws the eye with a relevant snippet and ‘GO FURTHER’ offers the chance to take your project a step further. Over the page is the clear, numbered, step-by-step instructions. The book ends with a page to design a couple of your own toilet rolls alongside a page of labelled templates to cut out, e.g. THE MERMAID’S TAIL (last image below refers). This page could benefit from perforations, as some pictures are tricky to get at on the spine, but the book can be pressed open for an adult with sharper scissors, in my experience.Save your cereal boxes, egg boxes & old socks too:Currently also available in the series, at the time of writing:I AM NOT A CEREAL BOX: THE RECYCLING PROJECT BOOKI AM NOT AN EGGBOX: THE RECYCLING PROJECT BOOKI AM NOT AN OLD SOCK: THE RECYCLING PROJECT BOOK[18 images attached © SARA STANFORD & CARLTON BOOKS LTD/2019]

Great for little ones to get crafting
Some great ideas for using an every day item that would get thrown out. Well designed and laid out pageswith good instructions. My 3 year old loves looking through and picking what we can make next. Once we've made something he'll then check the book and compare ours to the picture in the book. He also loves playing with what we have made using his imagination to the full.Big thumbs up and considering buying the other books in the series.

Keeps the kids occupied
Bought this to help keep the kids entertained during school holidays (a 5 yr old and a 7 yr old). They absolutely love it. Not only have they tackled some of the projects but it has inspired them to make up their own projects. Well worth the money.
