Didn't work for me.
I rely on reviews to determine purchases for almost everything and I know I need to do a better job of supplying reviews for others.I am returning this camera. It locks up and won't turn off, although I must say I am not entirely sure that it's not operator error. It seems to do this when you have the app running for it. I needed it to video my autistic child for teaching purposes. I was planning to either wear the lanyard or clip to clothes. It's too heavy to clip to clothes and won't angle correctly, and the lanyard bounces around too much. I don't think it has the stability feature that steadies the image. In addition the sound is very poor. My voice while wearing is clear, had to turn my computer volume to the highest setting though. The voice of anyone else was barely detectable. Perhaps I do have a bad model, but I don't think so.For me didn't work at all, but my need for this camera was unique.Hope to find an alternative.

So Far, So Good!
A good friend of mine and I are planning an off-road trip in his Jeep in a few months and I thought it would be cool to capture scenes of the trip in HD. Of course, I initially looked at GoPro cameras, but since I wasn't sure I'd use an (expensive) camera like that all that often, I started looking at cheaper alternatives. As it turns out, there are a lot of cheaper alternatives to GoPro and I could not decide on one. About to bag the search, I came across this HP camera. I was attracted by the wrist remote which would allow turning a mounted camera on and off. Turns out you can see what the camera sees on your smartphone using its WIFI and, even though I am 50+, I got it to work! I just had to be patient (about 15 seconds) and let the IPhone find the WIFI. Using the app, it was then pretty easy to control the camera. The wrist remote worked right off the bat, too. To watch your videos on TV, take the camera with you to the store when you buy the HDMI cable to make sure you get one that fits.I have discovered with a little ingenuity one can get the GoPro mounts to work with this camera. The HP manual says they sell an adaptor, but I can't find anywhere to purchase one. So, if you cut the center prong of the GoPro mount off using a coping saw, you'll see it is too wide. But then, take the piece you cut and make it just a bit thinner rubbing it on concrete - wedge it in there with the HP mount and the GoPro mounts can work just fine.Take the time to go to the HP website and download the users manual - it is actually fairly well written and actually useful in getting the camera to work. Being old school, I printed the manual out. In unmanlike fashion, I read the manual. Without it, the little display on top of the camera doesn't make much sense. Now, I have not used the camera in true anger yet, but several videos have been taken with the camera mounted on the Jeep on relatively smooth roads. So far, so good! The videos look very good and I am looking forward to recording events on the Jeep trip. Of course, I am hoping we don't roll over!!

Again, HP delivers on hardware but destroyed customer confidence ...
Again, HP delivers on hardware but destroyed customer confidence with software. I was going to use this on a drone, but the only app to use with this crashes immediately on Android 6 with a Nexus 5 (others report similar in the app store reviews). In addition, it requires you to only use a self-broadcasted wifi network, meaning you are depending on whatever antenna is in that tiny thing to provide adequate range and usability. It also does not work at all, period, without the app (which is unusable). The only ports open on it are 21 and 554, neither of which stream video via VLC or via web interface. No news on the actual recording quality, since this was supposed to be mounted to a quadcopter to allow remote flying.Seriously, HP... If you want to stay in the world of computers, why not try just a tad harder?
