The label says 1/2 t to 16 ounces of water. I just used it on the bottom of my upright vacuum cleaner and it dissolved the built up grime very quickly. I love this product. **Q: Does it work on degreasing car engines?** A: I would check with Stanley Home Products before trying it. Not sure what method you would use. **Q: How does this compare to the strongest dawn products?** A: I think the Stanley product is better. I use it if I have an especially difficult pot, pan or dish to clean. Like a pan I cooked meatloaf in or the grates from the grill. The Stanley product is very concentrated so you don’t have to use much and the bottle lasts a long time. It also works great for washing my kitchen floor and the entry way floor by the garage. I also use it full strength if my husband has a grease spot on his clothes.
