I would suggest this text for any beginning electrical course study and or as a great reference book for basic electricity. The foundation for an exceptional electrical engineer starts with a strong foundation and Delmar sets that tone in an expert manner. Review: Excellent for self study - The book is great. The Benchmark Standard
I used this product to supplement another text that was truly pitiful. The instructor used the other text because it had canned questions and tests - that was the only good thing about the text. Delmar's book has great detailed explanations that are presented in a manner that a layman can start understanding electrical theory and become confident as the course progresses. I'm usually not much for illustrations in textbooks, but this one is a true exception. The detailed illustrations actually support the given theories being explained and support the text so well that they actually tell the story in pictorial form. Excellent for self study
The book is great. I followed it from beginning to end for self study with great results. Very easy to follow and with practical background. Totally recommended.

On time but hardcover detached
I love I got it so early as I have classes starting in a week. Only issue is the hardcover is detached from the rest of the book.

Nix the older editions if you currently need this textbook!
I wish I had bought this sooner. I have the 5th edition (used it years ago) and needed it for a class last semester; was given the ok to use an older edition. GET THE LATEST EDITION (this book) if you need it currently. The old edition has incorrect equations later in the book which will result in incorrect solutions. Also, the units in the older editions are numbered differently than this new edition. I highly recommended upgrading to this edition if you have not yet.

Did not come with the Chapter 9 supplement book
Textbook is fine and in new condition, however it didn't come with the supplement booklet for chapter 9, as the pictures would lead you to believe. I don't know how or where to buy it separately

Text does not come with interactive media but claims it does
It arrived on time however the text never came with the interactive media like the product description suggested. It would be nice to include that information to potential customers.

Doesn’t include any of the figures.
Only a couple of the figures appear in this digital format and only for the first chapter. The remaining chapters make references to all figures but with nothing to view.
