Great styling cream. It is different than hair pastes I’ve used before - it’s very light feeling and gives my hair shape...but it’s soft and moveable when I run my fingers thru it - it’s not a stiff paste feeling. And I don’t know what the scent is but I like it - it’s a very unique and clean scent. I started using the shampoo and conditioner in this line which I now buy regularly - and just thought to try this stying cream - I have thin hair and I usually use paste to get volume - and thought a cream might weigh my hair down - it doesn’t - it controls well and gives me full looking hair and it feels soft and touchable and moveable. Very good product line.

I’ve been using Rene’s styling cream for over two years and it is hands down the best product I have found for my hair. It brings out my natural curls beautifully, adds definition without weighing my hair down and leaves it soft rather than crunchy or greasy. I use it with the thickening shampoo and the two products work wonders together.

First off as a Hairstylist for over 2 decades... (I started young) I have tried many products , always looking to stay fresh and current for my clients I decided to try this product because of it's simple gender neutral packaging since I style men as well. I was looking for a light styling cream that would not be too heavy for fine hair but could also keep thicker hair inline. Also scent plays a huge part these days, it seems everyone is sensitive to a strong smell and this product also checked this box. It has a light fresh smell nothing you can put your finger.... just fresh. This will be my go to product from now on. It's a plus that it leaves no residue on the hair. I plan on ordering the other products in the line. I highly recommend it.

As far as the hold, ease of use, and various other claims this product makes, it does a phenomenal job, even in the drastic weather changes of Northern Indiana. The only thing I can't quite get behind is the smell, as it has a bit of a hospital disinfectant smell with a bit of a bite to it. However, the smell fades fairly quickly and becomes tolerable to good as the day goes on.

First time I have used this brand or product. I LOVE the light smell, hard to describe...like a baby in a honeysuckle field. This product is lightweight and does not dull or weigh down the locks. I use it on damp or dry hair. My hair is medium to long processed, thin strands but full, with a wavy texture. When I apply the product on the last 2 inches of my hair, I then use an ionic heated brush dryer to gently roll my hair into silky arc. This tames winter flyaways. I will buy this again and recommend to friends.

I have thick, gray, curly, stubborn hair. This stuff makes the curl better, the shape excellent, the soft/firm balance wonderful. But the smell - oh lord. Heavy, too sweet, cloying, cheap. I have found that the odor goes away in about three hours. So I am going to use up the tube. I will use less, I'll try to add a smell I like (can't say I think that'll work.) But will I buy it again? I'll re-review at the end and let you know.

Update to my last review- I’m on my third tube of this cream and have thrown out all my other creams I love it so much!! I have medium thick hair and use a small size amount on wet hair for my blowout and then a tiny bit on dry for flyaways my hair never looks weighed down. This is the BEST styling cream I've ever tried. It's lightweight but so effective and helps lock in my style. I use it before my blow dry and it makes my styling so much easier and I get such a pretty result. After my blow dry I use a little bit to tame my flyaway hairs. The smell is so good too. Rene Fris knows haircare!! Must have product.

I didn't find this product to be anything special, but I did find it to be much too heavily scented--to the point of bringing on an allergic reaction. I'm sad to have spent my money on a product that I will use only once; in fact, after I finish this review, I'm getting ready to wash my hair to remove the scent.
