How likely are these to survive? Some materials simply fall apart with intensive use.** A: I use these cork insoles beneath a shoe's normal insole to add height to my right leg, which is 1/2" shorter than my left leg, causing lower back strain. As a result they experience very little wear & tear, so used like that they should be fine for 300km. However, not sure how long they would last if used as the primary, or upper, insole. **Q: what is the width at the widest part of the then uncut? Also what is the thickness?** A: I'm not sure if the width and I no longer have them. I used them for a barefoot shoe, bought the biggest and trimmed. They are very thin, a couple of mm at most. They didn't last very long, being so thin. They are already looking shabby after ten minutes use look as though they wont last more than a day or so.
