While it's a fairly basic wooden case, it's not really poorly made, and it perfectly stores the knives. Lastly, my recommendation is to hand wash these knives as I'm not sure the dishwasher would be best in the long-term. For the money, these knives, along with the case, are a true bargain. You won't be sorry purchasing them.
