You have to push that drill tool all the way down because the insertion tool has to be pushed down until the bottom of the sleeve rest on the tire rubber. Has to be done this way so the plug is deep enough to stay in tire hole when pulling up on insertion tool. I did not go all the way down the first time and therefore the plug came out of hole with insertion tool. The second time I made sure to lube up nicely the insertion tool and push down while turning it clockwise to allow me to deeply penetrate the tire rubber. Once the insertion sleeve was touching the tire rubber, means can’t go down further, I pulled up on insertion tool and rubber plug stayed in tire. Cut excess and inflated tire. Sprayed some water to check for bubbles. Waited 5 minutes and checked for bubbles again and tire pressure. Everything was holding. Waited another 15 minutes and checked both again. Air holding and no water bubbles meaning no leaks. Installed tire on car. Dropped jack back down and double checked air pressure with car weight on it. Holding. Drove car down the street and checked tire pressure on car pressure gauge. Holding. Next morning checked pressure after taking kids to school. Holding. Now 10 days and pressure is holding.
