Excellent product for waterproofing electrical connections. Have used this to waterproof extension cords used outdoors all winter and for coaxial cable connectors. Proper procedure: first wrap connection with good electrical tape, a layer of this product, and a final layer of electrical tape. You will not get any water ingress and the connections will be pristine if you ever need to separate the connections.

Great for Highlander Hybrid Battery Sealing - Needs Heat! I bought this to seal the frame of my Highlander’s hybrid battery to prevent air leaks, similar to the strong OEM tape. At first, I was disappointed because it didn't seem to stick at all. However, after some research, I learned that this type of tape works best with pressure, stretching, and a bit of heat. I used a hair dryer to warm up both the surface and the tape itself, and then it bonded perfectly. For my specific purpose, it’s a great product. I wanted to share this tip in case anyone else runs into the same issue!

There really is nothing else like this....it's not cheap, but it really works. I tend to use it for bicycle-based applications but for whatever you need, this stuff works. I love how it can stretch and flex but still hold its tension/stickiness when applied. For my uses, one roll lasts me a long time.

Good stuff. But NOT for installation sealing. It's stretchable but not conformable to irregular surfaces! It's only adhesive on one side but it is very aggressive. Once applied it is nearly impossible to remove. Use with caution and forethought! I was using it for the wrong purpose. It is meant to be used as an overlay wrap. Once the two surfaced touch they fuses together instantly.

Used this to wrap wiring for a protective coating. This tape sticks and seals very well. It is pretty pricey though and do not go very far. It is a very good product without doubt. Will buy again if have a need for it.

I almost always solder electrical connections and this stuff makes a waterproof seal and is easier to apply than shrink tubing. It seems to vulcanize to itself when wrapped and is rather hard to get off wiring when that is needed. That's OK, I want something that works well. I use it to also wrap some hose clamps for looks and to avoid chafing. Tons of uses so I carry it in my work truck and fun buggy. I just cut off a small strip, peel off the paper and stretch it before applying. EZ and effective.

Ridewrap chainstay armour is only a roll of rubber tape that costs twice as much as this product! I would highly recommend this product to protect your mountain bike frame and chain! Learned about this trick from a popular mountain biking channel on YouTube, I think GMBM? Anyways this product is perfect for protecting your mountain bike frame, whether carbon or aluminum!

Works great for mountain bike frame protection. Just know that it's hard to remove. Take your time when applying it.

Got this excellent black tape for mtb frame protection. I highly recommend 2228, was easy to apply. I used one box (£20) and cut strips and fitted side by side. It is maluble to seal together. Covered underside of all the bike frame, to protect against stone chips. Used on down tube and chain stay. Not bothered about weight of tape. Might be a pain to get off, but I will be putting new on.

Used as slapper tape on my chain stay, sticks well and looks good.

I am sure it is used for other things but I bought it for use on my bicycles. Sticks well and is thick (one sided only). 3M/Scotch quality. Much easier to order from Amazon that to hunt for in the stores...

used for chainstay protector on bike, better than expected, helps me have a quiet bike again. It sticks well and is very stretchy, left unstretched as a cushion for the chain and stretched round a couple of cables to tidy them, as a bit of a tape freak I can honestly say this stuff is great to have at hand.
