Itโs a water park for your butt! :)
Iโm going to start this by saying, BUY THIS! Yeah, itโs expensive, but youโre worth it! Most women want a Louis Vuitton purse, I wanted a Toto Toilet, and trust me, its a great investment. Infact, when I move, Iโm going to take this toilet with me to my next house. Not only is this a great looking toilet, but it gets you cleaner than youโve ever felt before. Iโm a clean freak. OK, TMI here, but whenever I โgo,โ I take a shower. Sometimes that means at 3 in the morning. And if my stomach isnโt feeling well and I have to, you know, โgoโ a lot... Iโm taking 8 to 10 showers a day. This is the solution. I was a little worried, wondering how the heck a squirt of water can get you clean back there. Trust me, it does. So here is everything you need to know about the Neorest 700H but were afraid to ask. First, know that you will most likely need to hire an electrician AND a plumber. The electrician will need to put in a dedicated outlet. Because it uses so much power, you canโt run the wire off another outlet, you need to have it run from the breaker box. In my case, the electrician ran the wire from my basement breaker box, along the ceiling to the opposite wall, then outside, up the side of my house, and into the second floor master bathroom. Yeah, it was a pain and expensiveโ but worth it in the end. (Get it? โIn the endโ...I know, that was bad!) Installation took all day and cost $1700. Back to the toiletโ It looks great and has the โcoolโ factor. One thing to note.. the toilet seat height is a little higher than most standard toilets. If youโre short like me, you wish it wasnโt so high because when you sit, youโre kind of on your tip toes. But Iโm getting used to it, and the rest of the features more than makes up for that one little thing. So letโs go over all the bells and whistles.. It has an electric eye and opens the lid when youโre nearby. Some water runs in the bowl to keep anything from sticking. Then you sit on a preheated seat. AHHHH! Wonderful on cold snowy nights. You have to sit back on the seat, or the remote control wonโt sense you and wonโt work. Then you do your thing. Next, you choose a front for women or back wash for.. well you know. You can select the temperature of the water, if you want it to pulsate, ossilate, and a hard or soft stream. Before and after, the wand washes itself off.. so you can be assured its squirting clean water on you. Then you push the dryer button on the remote. My dryer has a โnew carโ smell. Iโm hoping that will go away with use. I also do use toilet paper sometimes because it takes a while to dry you off, and sometimes I just donโt feel like sitting there with wind blowing up my nether regions. Finally, you can choose a light flush or a stronger flush, or just get up and let your toilet flush itself automatically. After flushing, it closes the seat by itself. I donโt know about you, but sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and have to โgo.โ No problem, It has a night light that goes on when you approach it. Its strong enough to see the remote control, but soft enough so it wonโt keep you from going back to sleep. I love my toilet. Who would ever think I would say such a thing?!!!

Worth every penny!
The 700H is our second Toto Neorest. The first was a 600 with which we were delighted but the 700H has really advanced the technology a long way. There are copycats out there but in my opinion no other manufacturer comes close in functionality and style. I'm about to order another 700H and 2 more when our budget can tolerate the expenditure. Yes, they're not cheap but it's money well spent in my opinion. What does owning a toilet like this provide? In my experience, comfort and cleanliness features that you didn't realize you'd need but very soon find you are unwilling to live without. As one approaches, the lid rises, the bowl is illuminated and a spray of water coats the bowl to prevent adherence of any solids. The toilet height is the next feature you'll notice. It's comfortable and there are no more pins and needles when standing after sitting for some time. The warmed, well shaped seat has temperature adjustment from slightly warm to toasty in cold bathrooms for middle-of-the-night visits. The automatic lid open and close functions, with both infra-red and radio frequency sensors, make gender-related discussions about seat position a thing of the past!Personal wash and dry functions are also adjustable and selections can be retained in memory for 2 users. Front and back washing functions are adjustable as to position and water pressure, and even offer pulsating and oscillation modes. Dryer temperature is adjustable as well and both washer and dryer self clean as they retract after use. Other reviewers have commented on the flush efficiency with low-volumes of water. They're correct: one flush is sufficient and the toilet recognizes whether a 0.8 gallon or a 1.0 gallon flush is needed. One of the best features in my opinion is the deodorizer. A sensor under the seat begins the exhaust fan as soon as someone sits. Air is passed through filters to remove odors. No need ever to switch the bathroom exhaust fan on when using your Toto!Toto has thought of almost everything. The one improvement the designers could make is to add a white noise or rain shower noise generator that could be activated if desired.

pleasantly surprised
I have to admit that I was somewhat suspicious. The whole price too good to be true story. This is an $8,000 toilet. So when our Kohler Numi failed and Kohler was no longer providing parts, we started looking at TOTO. Shipping took about a week, as expected as we are in south florida, but it arrived as represented. Had to change the water supply fitting in the wall since it uses a proprietary supply valve with a built in inlet screen and I had a standard compression 1/2" angle stop for the Numi. But otherwise straight forward that any handy homeowner can do. I will agree with some other reviews that this is not an elongated bowl and not a great choice for someone of large girth, but suits us just fine. I actually like its functions better that the Numi. One concern is that to change or clean the screen you will have to shut off the main water supply to the house and drain the cold water lines.

Love it.
Amazing Toto for an amazing experience.I own several Toto products but this is one is by far the best. Not sure the price is justified but itโs awesome! I donโt regret getting it for my new bathroom at all!

Does what you want... and maybe too much of what you don't
What can you say about a very expensive toilet? Well, a lot, actually.Yes, it does what it says it will do. It opens, it warms, it cleans, it closes. All very pleasant, particularly compared with the plain-vanilla alternative you've been using all your life.But. But. But.The motion sensor is very sensitive. That means that any time you walk near it-- which could be quite a few times a day, depending on how it's placed-- it will spritz water into the bowl, make some noise, and generally makes its presence known. This happens day or night, and there's absolutely no way to stop it, even if the lid is down and all the automatic features are off. It's slightly noisy, but more to the point, in California (and much of the West) it's a sound you really don't want to hear: that of water being wasted for no good reason. And again, there's no way to stop it. (Not even with strategically placed electrical tape to block the sensor.)Then there's the pesky, clunky way it cleans its "wand" about 40 seconds after you've used it (even if you've not used the wand.) This happens regardless of whether you program it not to self-clean. It also happens at other random times of day... or, more annoyingly, the night. And there's no way to stop that either, even if you set "Automatic Wand Cleaning" to off.Oh, and the remote is a bit hard to read (no backlight) and finicky (hard to program without accidentally pushing random buttons.)Maybe none of this would bug me if the company had been responsive to my minor-but-annoying frustrations. Their customer service is fine, to a point. (It consists of very nice people who read the manual to you.) But if you point out that it'd be great to be able to turn off the water-wasting auto-sensor, or ask why the wand noisily cleans itself no matter how many times you set it not to do so, their response is a variation on: "Yeah, we get a lot of those complaints, but sorry: there's nothing I can do."(Their technician also mentioned they get many complaints about how easily scratched the plastic is, and how a $5,000+ toilet should have a much sturdier lid.)If you point out that it's marketed as "You are in total control," and "water conserving," here's what you'll hear back: "I've checked with management, and I'm sorry: there's just nothing we can do. It's working as designed."But of course there's something they could do. Software can be upgraded; sensors can be blocked; partial refunds can be made. From what I can tell, their customer service vision is to hire kind people, but under no circumstance allow them to do anything for customers of their pricey, not-so-well-designed toilets. So there, I've said my piece. Maybe you'll like the Neorest-- in many ways it is an impressive product. But don't be fooled by the marketing: You're not in total control; it will make noises day and night no matter what you do; it won't save you as much water as you'd like. And if you find their "People-centered Design" slogan appealing, just remember that you might not be one of those people this is designed for.If that's the case, don't expect any sympathy from Toto.

Great experience
Love this product. Purchased two. Took a while to have install. I recommend getting it professionally installed.Works great. Would never go back to just a standard toilet again!

Good, but quirky, and not always in a good way.
It's expensive, but for some people it will be worth the price. It's easy to make fun of, but if you're open-minded, it just might make certain necessary activities a good deal more pleasant.Pros:Despite the low water use, it flushes reliably. I hear constant complaints from people who say that their 1.6 gallon toilet is really a 3.2 gallon toilet because they have to flush an average of twice. Even if you don't care about saving water, you probably do care about having to hang around the stool for a bit after each use to see if you do have to flush again. Not with the Toto--it flushes automatically, and I've never known it to leave anything behind in the bowl, even though it uses a gallon or less. The "bidet-like functions" are a little weird at first, but after a while they seem more and more necessary. Let's not go into great detail here--this is a family review. But no, nothing you're going to do in the ordinary course of things is going to cause it to spray water all over the bathroom.Even used as an ordinary toilet, it's unusually comfortable. I find the "comfort" height just right. A heated toilet seat seemed a silly affectation, at first, but now I'm not so sure.It does a good job of keeping itself clean. I clean toilets once a week, and in the past I've felt a bit guilty about not doing it more often, as the toilets visibly need cleaning sooner than that. This beast keeps itself pretty darned clean, at least to the eye and the nose. You do need to unplug it while cleaning, however.Cons:A lot of people are put off by the very idea. I was originally going to order one for my guest bathroom also, but a friend warned me away from the idea. I'm glad, now, that I don't have to offer a how-to-use briefing to any guest who needs the facilities. More adventurous souls are welcome to use my toilet.I had to disable the automatic opening and closing of the lid. It might work fine if you have the toilet isolated in it's own little chamber, but if it's in a bathroom with other attractions like a sink and a tub, the over-eager proximity sensor will have the lid flipping up and down while you're doing other things. And, once you disable the automatic opening, you find that the manual operation isn't very well thought out. Sorry, ladies, the default opening from the remote is to lift the seat as well as the lid, and that can't be altered. Once the lid is up, nothing on the remote will close it. So, if you feel, as I do, that even such a handsome appliance should be kept closed when not in use, you'll have to get in the habit of lowering the lid yourself after each use, which rather lessens the value of the automatic flushing.

Neorest Will Spoil You
I've had a number of Toto Neorests and this one is, by far, the best (although I've been very happy with the others). I purchased a new home and couldn't wait for the 750H to come out. I'm not regretting my impatience. I had a minor issue after installation due to a bad wiring job but Toto has the most amazing customer service - they worked with me until the issue was resolved even though the wiring was not their responsibility. I won't live without a Neorest.

very bed
The lack of a lot of accessories, after leaving a message to the seller did not solve the problem, until now the toilet can not be used
