Im not sure but it did help the sores and skin issue my dog was having on his backside.

does this work well for dog lice and fleas?

Never used it for that. However it contains sulfur, and may have a positive impact. I don’t have any direct observations with that particular issue.

How thick is it supposed to be? Mine is pretty runny like oil separated from peanut butter.

It’s really thick and yes the oil does separate. Before using, knead and squeeze the tube(lid on) to help mix it. Be sure to wear gloves and try not to get on close. It has a strong sulphur smell. But it’s the greatest stuff for skin issues on animals. May have to reapply to take care of skin issue.

Sulfur appears to be the dominant ingredient, along with some other oils,etc.
