However... the sole cuts into one's foot. As you can see on the photo your big toe will be lying half on and half off it. So, I reused the tape and bought a cheap foam insole from Boots and made two holes in it, threaded the tape though and secured on one side using a sewing machine, to replicate this one but with a comfy sole. Result a perfect device, no more pain - which is why I've given it 5 stars here. Note - don't keep the strap too tight for to long or your toe will start to hurt.
