Renew Life Probiotics for Men 90 Billion CFU

UDATED 11/11/13: I am now on my 3rd jar of this probiotic, it's been over 2 months and I have had one, tiny cold that lasted about 3 days. My husband has been cold-free as well. Interestingly, he has the Herpes Simplex virus and is over 50 so his oral cold sores were becoming frequent and more severe, almost moving from one attack to another. He hasn't had a single cold sore since we started this probiotic. My sister has also been sickness free, although the first week she took it, she was exhausted and slept alot (some people say this is common if you have a very depleted system?). She is 40 and has been constipated since she was 8. Since starting this, she is, for the first time in her life, going every single day. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to not have a constant head cold. I am so, so grateful to have found this product. ORIGINAL REVIEW: First, I wanted to mention that this product contains no gluten, wheat, soy, dairy, eggs, shellfish, tree nuts, or artificial ingredients. I had to mention that since my sister has a terrible soy allergy, and I couldn't find that information before I ordered this for myself. Now if you want to know how this product has helped me, read on... This purchase had really been a last ditch effort on my part to getting better. For the last 3 years or so I have had more and more colds, increasing in severity and duration. To the point that in the last 8 months, I have had no less than 12 major colds (i.e. they last a MINIMUM of two weeks, my nasal passages get completely stopped up and I just feel miserable). I would get 3-5 days inbetween colds where I felt decent (never fully recovering), and then I'd get another. I've been documenting when I get a cold, what I eat, changing what I eat, etc, etc, etc, on and on. Interestingly, they did seem to get much worse and much more frequent after I had 2 rounds of antibiotics (major flora killer). I feel that I have tried pretty much most holistic remedies out there. I did carrot juicing every morning for about two months. Very little change (perhaps a little less severity in one of the 3 colds I got during those two months). The last thing I tried was grass-fed gelatin. It didn't seem to improve my immunity (getting another cold a week after I started taking 2 Tbsp a day), but I did get completely and totally constipated. Oh joy. A week ago I mentioned to a friend that I had finally given up. I am going to just be sick, that's my lot and have to enjoy those 3-5 days inbetween colds ALOT. 2 months ago, I read about the small intenstine flora. It seemed like I was a person whose flora was in bad shape, so I looked into trying probiotics. But what I found was: too bad for you, there is no way to get probiotics past the stomach acid. So I put that on the shelf of 'good ideas, but won't work'. That said, I'm not sure how I stumbled upon this product, because I certainly wasn't looking for it. But I hoped and prayed - Surely this many people can't be wrong? So I ordered it. I took the first pill at 6:30 pm, my husband laughing that I took note of the time. Surely it wouldn't work so fast I needed to time it? By the way, that day I was starting down the path of getting another cold (and the first day of these colds is bad and now, predictable). So I settled in for another night of getting a cold: chicken soup, box of kleenex, hot tea. Within half an hour, I felt a tiny bit better, but surely that couldn't be the probiotic? I went to bed at 8pm, which has become my custom these last 8 months - I can never get enough sleep. I woke up at 2:30am and my nose was clear! I felt rested! I WANTED to do things -- cook, eat, go running, for pete's sake! I felt GOOD! Right now, I appear to be cold free. WHAT?! YEAH, I'M SO EXCITED! Rest assured, I will update on how things continue. I'm not sure if it this is a miracle drug for everyone - but it has been a miracle drug for me, and one I've been praying for. My husband is now taking it (he gets about 1 out of the 3 colds I do), and my sister (whose health is similar to mine). I will definitely update on how this goes for all three of us.

We bought this specifically to make vegan yogurt and it was PERFECT! We emptied two capsules into a can of Coconut milk and it was tangy and delicious, almost like sour cream, and made perfect yogurt with some vanilla and honey. It's usually so expensive and difficult to find a vegan yogurt that isn't made with tree nuts or oats, so making our own has saved us so many headaches.

I could definitely see a difference in these compared to the ones I was taking. These are very powerful and hit my stomach pretty hard (the other ones didn't). I remembered seeing other people in the "one-star" section saying that they had the same problem with these so rather than rating them a single star and throwing them away (as those people did) I decided to do some research about it first. I found many things on the subject so here are just a few. Unless your symptoms are drastic and affecting you dramatically, don’t stop taking the probiotics – this period should pass. Simply downgrade your dose to every other day or cut in half. It will usually not last more than 3-7 days. Instead of taking on an empty stomach (which some say when probiotics are most effective), for the time being, start taking with food. You can change to taking on an empty stomach after your body has adjusted. *Be sure to know the quality of your probiotic. All supplements are not created equal! Within a couple days I was feeling so sick that I had to miss an entire week of classes. I stopped taking the probiotic around the middle of last week and now I am finally feeling better after a variety of strange symptoms ranging from odd aches and pains to coldness, to chest pains and a lack of appetite. I*** My closing argument on Probiotics that make you sick: I was a germaphobe (until two weeks ago) so bad that I would wash my whole body (the top of my head to the bottom of my feet) in the shower with anti-bacterial soap in hopes of killing germs. I showered that way for many years. I somewhat recently was on antibiotics for two weeks as well and fell so ill that I began to research health like a crazy person because I was in frightening condition. A blessing in disguise I guess. So, why are these making me so ill? Because they're working. BIG TIME. I took them with food today and still started feeling very bad so I went to sleep for a few hours and made it through okay. I'll do what's necessary to get them working properly in my body. The main takeaway from all this is if you're taking ANY Probiotic and it's making you sick, not only is it working VERY WELL but how close are you to being as bad off as I am (with no good bacteria in my body at all I or close to it at least) Tough it out guys Rob

I am OBSESSED with this probiotic... pretty much addicted to it! I don't feel the same without it. Amazing for the gut and guaranteed to help with elimination. I take it before bed and 95% success in the morning! The first time I purchased this product was at Whole Foods about a year ago. I tend to stock up when I find it on sale (recently found while traveling at Pharmaca in NM). This product is meant to be refrigerated and I am told it is compromised if not refrigerated. When I ordered it a few days ago on Amazon, I assumed it would arrive with a cold pack, but it did not, and I could even feel the warmth of having been sitting in the UPS truck. This makes me question as well, if it came from a refrigerated facility. It's too soon to tell if I feel it is not as effective, but unfortunately won't be buying again from Amazon unless I am guaranteed it's been refrigerated and will be shipped properly to maintain its integrity. It's a premium product and I expect it to be treated as such!

If i could give this probiotic 100 stars, I would! I am not a paid reviewer and I don't normally write reviews but this is truly one of the best products I've ever used. I have struggled for months with near-constant thrush (the oral version of a yeast infection- disgusting and extremely uncomfortable!) as a result of illness and none of the typical anti-fungal medicines or probiotics were working for me. I finally found this product suggested on a thrush information site (suggested to be used along with another product called Candida Cleanse which I also highly recommend). After some research into these products, I ordered them with overnight delivery. Within a week, my severe thrush was completely gone! I was amazed!! Now, whenever I feel the first signs of thrush coming on or I have to take antibiotics, I take them with this probiotic and I haven't had thrush (or a vaginal yeast infection, sorry for the TMI!) since that last one almost a year ago! Even if thrush is not your concern, this is still the best probiotic on the market by far! Most probiotics have 2-3 different strains of bacteria..ultimate flora has 12 and the difference in results is unbelievable. There are very few products that I believe in enough to recommend to others but I recommend Ultimate Flora to everyone who mentions any kind of digestive problems or sensitivity to antibiotics because I truly believe it to be the best on the market AND everyone I've recommended it to has been amazed by the results! From pregnancy-related and other digestive issues to food sensitivities (not food ALLERGIES! This is NOT for treating food allergies!!) to thrush, this is honestly miraculous. It may be a bit pricier than other probiotics on the market but, trust me, it's worth every penny!! I can't praise this product highly enough! I encourage you to try this product-you will NOT be disappointed. PS you may experience some gas for the first few days but (in my experience) it almost always goes away within 3-4 days!

This is the third time I've purchased these. Before this order, I would have put it at 5 stars. Unfortunately the packaging has changed and it is in a regular bottle, not the patent-pending bottle that keeps the capsuls dry (moisture will destroy the probiotics).

This is the only probiotic product that worked for me.! Am suffering inflammatory bowel disease (ibd) and this product has helped me immensely with the bloating and acid reflux. ..the seller is very prompt in delivering...thanks a ton...!

I visited many doctors in Dubai. I did many blood and stool tests. Everything was OK including liver and pancreas function and no calprotectin and no Hpylori. At last I started taking digest gold probiotics then Renew Life probiotics. I was recovered.Doing Hijama(cupping) was also good for me. I recommend this product instead of losing money with doctors.
